#1: You can keep the heads as most damage to them will be superficial and easily repaired. The exception is if you use the head for oral sex, then the head may not last as long. Proper cleaning and drying will extend the life just like the main body of the doll. When storing a doll head that is being used for oral sex, place an empty pen shaft in the doll's mouth during storage. This will vent the oral cavity to room air reducing the risk of mold developing in an environment where moisture has been trapped.

#2: Every TPE doll that I have seen uses a screw on head. A direct email to a vendor/MFR is necessary though if you want to ensure compatibility between a specific head and doll body. Due note that even if they are mechanically compatible, they may still not look "right" together as they may be disproportionate.

Water-based lube is safe for TPE. When shopping for a specific brand, look for one with as few extra added ingredients as possible.

That sounds like a good basic lube. Just be sure to rinse it all out of the insert or built-in when you are done with the doll for the day.

Well unfortunately it does look like mold growth, I have heard that it can be the death of a doll, you might try this:

Concrobium Mold Control is a proven mold fighting solution that effectively eliminates and prevents mold. It can also be used to clean up mold and get rid of musty odors with no harmful chemicals. The product works as it dries by crushing the mold spores at the roots and leaving behind an invisible antimicrobial shield to prevent future mold growth. Use Concrobium Mold Control for water damage restoration, construction and renovation (pre-treatment of building materials), specialty mold clean-up and prevention and general interior maintenance. This patented formula is used by homeowners and professionals.
•Eliminates, cleans and prevents mold and musty odors
•Contains no bleach, ammonia or volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
•Penetrates to the roots of mold
•EPA-registered
•Works on drywall, concrete, wood, masonry, siding, shingles, stone, grout, plastic, tile and many more surfaces
•Ideal for basements, bathrooms, laundry rooms, attics, closets, garages, windows, car interiors, boat interiors and RVs
•Colorless and odorless
•Note: product may vary by store

Home Depot sells it, says it works on plastic, but TPE is a specialty plastic for sure, but it still may be worth a try. Wish you the best of luck and please keep us informed on how the problem is cured if you do find a cure for it!

That mold infection looks pretty bad. I had a similar problem about a year ago. I tried all sorts of different "less damaging" options for my TPE doll, but none of them worked. I would still try some things like Crazycajun recommended.

As a last resort, I was able to cure a vaginal cavity mold infection by pouring full strength bleach into the vaginal with doll's pussy tilted up such that the bleach was able to fill the entire cavity. I left the doll in this position with the cavity full of bleach for 2 full days before the mold was completely gone. Note that bleach is NOT SAFE for TPE material; rather, it is a last resort option for major mold infections. The post-prognosis is better if your doll's cavity uses inserts. If your doll uses a built-in pussy, then there is a good probability that the doll will no longer be usable afterwards.

I would think that baking soda should be fine, with vinegar is more effective -- or go for 3% hydrogen peroxide. Either way you're going to need to scrub or at least wipe the mold out. Nasty.

Good luck! :|

As a follow up to my 2 day bleach treatment, I VERY CAREFULLY drained the bleach from the cavity, rinsed it out a bit, and then I refilled the cavity with 70% isopropyl alcohol in order to ensure that the cavity was fully sterilized afterwards. I have no mold in this doll since, but I doubt the doll would survive another bleach treatment even as an insert doll.

Alright the results are in.. so i used 1st baking soda with hydrogen peroxide & some water and mixed it up i poured it in the cavity and let it sit for like 10 mins left it still at 1st... then started pushing the belly and kinda moving it around in there and did this for like another 10 mins or so then emptied it out and then i cleaned it out with water a few times.. after that i just used more hydrogen peroxide with a little water and let it sit for 10 mins i saw it started to bubble up inside so i knew it was killing something so i washed it out with water one last time i used my DATAVAC DUSTER and blew it dry inside and it looks a lot better inside that's for sure!

Your right, starting to look pink again like it's suppose to. I would maybe retreat, maybe for a longer time. And dry it really good and wait for like 24 hours and see what it looks like then. When it comes to your health you can't be to careful and mold is really nothing to play with. But your results are very encouraging to say the least. Thanks and keep us posted.

Thank you for the update. I agree with re-treating at least one more time. Inspect the cavity very carefully when you are done to ensure that no mold is remaining prior to resuming use.

For those of you that live in areas with high humidity have you experienced any mold when storing a dry TPE doll in dark closed container? I'm wondering if after drying, powdering, and packing the cavities/box full of desiccant is enough to ward off mold.
