Display maintenance?

Post by orchido »

I'm adding a TPE doll for my art collection just to be used for display, modelling of wigs, clothes and makeup.
I'm cheap, I know, a silicone doll would be better suited for this project.

I was wondering about how much maintenance I should plan for it, besides occasional feather dusting and powdering to prevent dust buildup, hair and fabric sticking to it?

One vendor told me that a TPE doll stored in a protective bag will easily last a decade with NO maintenance, but this one will be more like any artwork in your home, plus it will be used for occasional modelling as well.

She needs to bemoved around. Get the standing feet for dressing. Your doll will need to be moved and cleaned to be at her best. If want static art. Find a manniquin you like, and bondo the hell out of her
