I agree, I believe the future will be combining realistic sex dolls with 3D optical/sound virtual reality technology. That way you could have infinite sex partners in infinite places and fantasies with different software programs like in video games.A more realistic (temperature, touch, self-lubrication etc) will be great to have in the sex doll, that could be moved by a machine( I am currently working on it) to simulate the movements during sexual acts. Computer virtual reality technology will make the experience to seems real in space and time and coordinate the images with the sex doll motion (by the machine integrated to the computer) so the person will see, hear , and feel the experience , being able to touch and even interact with the sex doll (virtual-real sex partner) by maybe using sensors in the room and the sex doll integrated to the computer software ( as you mentioned in another post). This could be improved and could become so real (technology advances are incredible and fast) that could provide the user with experiences which one day ( I think not far) could be as pleasurable and even more pleasurable than real sex with humans.

Sounds very complicated.

This sounds more like augmented reality, whereas you overlay things onto reality, e.g. you could replace the face of your doll with a more realistic animated face.
But augmented reality on this level is much farther away than virtual reality, probably a decade away at least.

You could use the Rift in combination with something like a "fuck me silly" torso, whereas a VR woman lying on a bed in same position as the "fuck me silly" could stimulate your eyes while the torso provides touch. Your brain gets tricked. But currently it's pretty difficult to wear a rift and have a PC in your bedroom
I've so far not seen realistically rendered 3D women that can animate as well. But surely it will come.

But dolls can provide this probably much better. Also, dolls have other uses than just sex, a doll is much more. You cannot really form a bond with a VR animation that gets turned off after use

Technology move (advance) incredibly fast (look at the tvs, cell phones and computer/laptops). those big 3D Oculus rift eye gases will be very small , lightweight and even wireless in not more than 3-4 years. with the approach I described you can have the best of both worlds, a realistic love doll to cuddle and a super real sex experience in "augmented reality" with the sex doll that will mimic at least some of the movement a person does during sex when connected to a machine ( again I am working on the machine) . What you mentioned regarding the "fuck me silly" torso can be easily done in a more realistic way combining a high end sex doll with a machine that can move it ( I am working on it and the results seems to be very promising). This approach will be easier to archive and even more realistic ( virtual and augmented reality can trick our brains better than an android robot which is very hard to archive and will take at least 50 years to in some way look and behave like humans but I doubt an android will mimic us exactly).
