My deepest respects and condolences, a loss to any community is a loss indeed and by the replies he was a popular and much loved character.I didnt know him but loss is loss and we have all lost in some way in our brief time on this planet so we can all share a moment and remember departed friends.

Though the road comes to an end,
It is good to have found a friend,
To share and to care in lifes sweet fare,
To be remembered and Loved,
Is cherished and rare,
Farewell to the fair.
Rest in peace.

My heartfelt condolences and prayers go to Jo and the ones that he loved and the ones who love him.

Wetsuit has quite a legacy here at TDF and quite a few good threads about himself and his dolls. He is a member that should be well celebrated and to never be forgotten. His love for his friends in the community goes far beyond what the forum is all about. He was able to share good times with those that he met here and for those not fortunate to meet him in person, his love for the hobby that we all share and the enthusiasm that he showed for his dolls.

Wetsuit had hobbies that he shared with us that he enjoyed other than his dolls and that was his love for vintage motorcycles

Jo used his dolls to share that hobby with us

He enjoyed this hobby and showed it through his beautiful photos of his dolls. You could just tell that he was having fun with it and you could feel the love he was trying to share. He has made many friends in the community and has made a mark. He will not be forgotten. Friends here will honor his requests and honor him throughout the life of the community.

I am very sad to hear of Wetsuit's passing.

What's cool to see is all the great photos of him enjoying himself and being with friends who cared about him.

The way the community comes out with their remembrances is something I'll never forget while living.

Janesays,

Thank you so much for taking the time to put all this in the thread.

He knew he as not going to win the battle :( The treatments he was taking were to make him as comfortable as possible for his time remaining, which we all hoped was going to be much longer than turned out. This was one of the reasons we planned the UK meet for sooner than last year.

Jo was very brave, optimistic to the end and never a complainer despite the tremendous amount of pain he had been experiencing even at the UK meet in November.

Sometimes life sucks...and then it only gets worse:( Jo was on disability owing to an early bike accident (not his fault) which put him in continual pain and in need of a cane and a wheel chair at times. But Jo made the best of it and was really happy that he was able to return to his home for his remaining time rather than be stuck in a hospital. His motorbikes and music were also to great loves.

I hope this fills in a little more of his story and his legacy.

I was a bit stunned at first, and now it's sinking in to me... we lost someone good.

One thing I remember Wetsuit for was making a couple of delightful videos of his Teddy Babes playing guitars (or mandolins, or what have you). Unfortunately, I just checked our forum archives, and it seems the links for those videos are now broken.

Oh, well... here's Cordie next to one fine instrument of Jo's (I don't think she played this one in the video):

Man... Nobody else die around here, okay? :(

Wow, what a shock! I'll miss Wetsuit. I hate cancer. It's really sad when someone in our family passes away.

I sometimes imagine my girls being real in heaven. Perhaps Jo is really with his girls now.
