Drying Doll Cavities with an Aquarium Air Pump and Tubing.

Post by LDF »

After using a series of douches, first detergent and water, then salt/vinegar and water, to flush out my doll's love holes, I found that they still had a lot of moisture in them the next day even though I had used a tube to help with the drying process.

Although everyone has their own way of doing this, I'm trying 'condomless' for now, and allowing moisture to remain in the cavities for a prolonged period of time is just asking for trouble.

All it took was a quick trip to the pet store where I purchased an aquarium air pump, aquarium tubing, and some T adapters, with some assembly required. I did fire polish the inserted ends of the tubing first.
Why didn't I take the blue pill?

I'm trying this the last week. I got a Tetra Whisper 40 gal pump thinking, 40 gallon is big...but it's not much air. The Tetra Whisper 150 gal. puts out a good amount, not too much.

I was worried it could blow her up if a canal seals around the tube, but it vents fine. Even when I hold it closed around the tube it vents out in a moment, so it's not enough pressure to be harmful.

To dry two holes you can use a T adapter like you mention, less air pressure though. I'm getting the Tetra Whisper 300 gal pump, it has two ports built in. It's twice as big as the one-port 150, so it's probably just two 150 pumps side by side.

The air seems like a pretty clean and gentle care solution so far.

I Thought if your doll has a cavity, you take her to the dentist.

It's probably that your pump is a bit weak. I've got a twin hose tetra and it dries completely after about 4 hours in one orifice, so double the orifices double the time and some.

I've just realized that I can wrap aquarium tubing around the fins of my oil filled electric radiator!

It will heat the air being pumped through the tubing allowing for a faster drying time, and warming the love holes for the next session!!

OK, how many of you have tried this already?

If you get a pair of long nose surgical clamps (eBay) you can dry the cavity quite well with cotton swabs (makeup remover pads) and you should find she dries much quicker. I've been doing that for a year now with good results
and a thin layer of Vaseline when dry will ensure mould can't grow.

Rolled up paper towels, I know it does not sound high tech. And almost A Lazy way of solving this problem, But it works for me, leave the rolled up paper towel in for several days then take it out, (the towel absorbs the moisture) started doing this after using tampons, trying to buy a box of tampons with no female around was convincing enough for me to try paper towels....
