I won't lie, I am tempted. I just need to think up a storyline for the thing and take more pictures really, so it might happen. It would be fun, but a lot of work. I could never equal your thread though, I just can't photograph that well or do the backgrounds and stuff! The Doll Laboratory wrote:Hello Willendorph,
Definitely do it! I would watch with great interest. I like zombie movies!Willendorph wrote:Definitely my best edit so far. I almost want to start making some sort of storybook thread where she battles though a post-apocalyptic wasteland full of zombies!

Thanks. We both enjoy the cosplay, and it's something that we're always working on, so there's sure to be more.Nord wrote:Ambitious costumes! And scenery for that matter, as I would never dare to take my doll outside There is not enough cosplay on this forum, so it's very nice to see you share these projects of yours. Keep it up!
Taking Tomoe outside is a bit nerve wracking. I'm lucky in that for the most part, I can manage it without anyone being able to see, but I always have a moment on the threshold where I wonder "are we really doing this?". At that point, I normally end up circling to check nobody is about...

I also refreshed some of her face makeup for her little moles and stuff, but it doesn't really jump out in the monotone photos unless you darken them a bit.

Thanks. I've been trying quite a lot to get decent pictures lately, but I haven't had that much time for photography. Black and white is a bit stark sometimes too.gunsmithcat wrote:Congrats on the challenges, those are pretty nice b/w pictures as well!

We also entered the Gif category this month, with something a bit more fun, and a little less classy. I think I'm getting better at this animated stop-motion stuff. Having a stable tripod and lights that remain steady is pretty essential. I used the Gif creating function in PhotoScape to make this, and then used an online editor to crop it:
Watch at your own risk, it can become quite hypnotizing...

@Willendorph: I wish more manufacturers made dolls with happy faces. I know of only one that I like: JM Doll's smiling 156cmWillendorph wrote: We also tried out Faceapp on some of her pictures. She looks absolutely adorable with that smile. I'm tempted to send the photo to DS and demand that they sculpt the head for me so she can be that happy all the time!

The dress is backless, so is easy to get on/off. No colour transfer problems with the gold one, although I haven't tested it for more than a few hours at a time.
