Brooke is a beautiful girl, and you have captured her in an equally
beautiful pose, in a very pensive mood. A very lovely shot of your
new girl. Love the yellow tones!
His typical positive, caring and detail captured in his messages to us.........................He and the Nanako's live on................I hope forever.......

Re: In Memoriam Nanako
A beautiful post from Arthur and a beautiful photo from Nanako.Arthur1960 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2024 11:24 am When we don't hear from someone on the forum for a few weeks it can often be because they have decided to take a break for a while. Nanako had suggested he would be cutting back on his posts earlier this year so when his Saturday morning update didn't appear in the early part of March, while disappointed, I'm sure most of us thought that he would get around to it soon enough. Days turned to weeks and all was quite on his thread and eventually another kind member reached out to him in the US but it wasn't until last week that we finally had the news that some of us were privately dreading, sadly he had passed away on 27th March. Reading his last post with hindsight I wonder whether he was actually saying a fond farewell to his many friends on the forum, in any case looking at it now it seems very poignant indeed.
I can remember reaching out to him shortly after he started his thread for Nana Chan who was actually a new version of the same gal he had before. We both shared a love for WM head 85 and so I was keen to see what he did with his gal especially as he clearly had an eye for crafting beautiful images that was destined to bloom into something very special and unique. Nanako was a deeply thoughtful soul and when he decided to take the plunge with a silicone version of Nana Chan we chatted about the practical issues surrounding the possible replacement of a doll you had developed an emotional attachment to. He knew I had experienced this myself with my Sarah so I shared with him how I dealt with it and he decided to keep Nana Chan as she was and that His new gal would have her own separate personality and as we know became Nanako.
It seemed to me that once Nanako was on the scene he really became inspired and proceeded to produce an amazing array of beautiful images, often with Nanako wearing the most elaborate traditional costumes. To be honest I was more than a little jealous of what he was doing and his later composites deserve to be hanging in an art gallery. Like djcdoll said before, it's hard to single out one or two of his photos but there is one of Nana Chan that he took a few years back that I know he liked and now brings a lump to my throat every time I look at it. She's leaning back, cradling his old Nikon but it's just such a wonderfully intimate image. I've taken the liberty of adding his final post to the pic and while mourning his passing I shall treasure what he gifted us over the past few years and would urge anyone that's unfamiliar with the Nanako's to go through their wonderful thread, a veritable treasure awaits you.

ParadiseCity wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 9:09 pm I'm only just hearing this tragic news, and being fairly new to tdf I'd only ever seen a few glimpses of the beautiful work he did. Now that I've begun going through his threads, I've really begun to appreciate what a brilliant artist he was. His ability to blend simple ideas with fine detailing, beautiful compositions and a certain subtlety, really is something special, and something I look forward to exploring further. Thankyou for your work Nanako and may you rest in peace
Thank you ParadiseCity.......................tears...................
You are more than welcome my dear friend...............
