I agree with you completely! You are a world class expert of your own opinion……..Luftmeister wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 2:43 pm I am the worlds foremost expert on my own opinion. Will some of these be nitpicky? Yes. If I'm to spend triple, quadruple, or even more than it better be that much better than what I'm already more than satisfied with.
Also, I'm sure RD makes a FANTASTIC product with good value. Just not enough for me. for me
Pluses:
-Magnetic face. Yeah, being able to change that quickly and easily is a big thing. Plus, you don't have to store an entire doll head(s).
-They look good but see below
Minuses:
-Time to delivery
-Customer service / response time
-For me, the difference in price to value just isn't there.
-Labia doesn't have a "coin slot" type. Close, but not there
-Seams. Yes, I realize it's almost impossible to be completely seamless, yet again if I'm paying $8500 and up it better be well above a 2k doll.
-Their extra faces cost what an entire doll of decent quality does
-Their version of the FL costs $800
-Best for last: The sex with them is not THAT much better to warrant the cost

Re: Why a Real Doll?
Thanks for you "Why Not a Real Doll" opinion. How old is the photo you are showing as an example? It looks like it has a rather old Real Doll Logo on it. It'd be interested to know if it is a recent pic of a current doll.Luftmeister wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 2:43 pm I am the worlds foremost expert on my own opinion. Will some of these be nitpicky? Yes. Tasha was kind enough to remove her top and bodysuit so pardon the white flecks from her clothes.
Here is her arm seam... I think what is more prevalent is her skin texture, tones and her veins.
And her body seam.
Note none of us will be going to other doll manufacturer sections sharing our opinion about why we do not prefer "decent" dolls that are 50-75% the cost of a RD. Enjoy whatever your choice is.

Re: Why a Real Doll?
This is my only gripe. If RD actually improved their skeletons to offer standing or at least articulate hands and changed their head rigging to be standardized (and compatible) with other dolls I’d definitely be more interested in them. Standing isn’t a big deal to me but the hands definitely are and the interchangeability of the heads allows for a lot more customizationNescio50 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 5:11 pm Why a RealDoll? To me RealDoll are the best from the past. I do own a RealDoll, I also own silicone dolls by other brands. While Abyss was working on robotics, competitors enhanced their dolls -articulated fingers, standing without a stand, softness, they worked on their quality. They listened to the needs of customers. And now they have good dolls, with features we want, and at a price half or less than a RealDoll -especially if shipping, customs and taxes for those outside of the US are taking into account. I'm sorry to say, but to me RealDoll made some strategic mistakes.

Hi Kandicaine & Nescio50 you raise really good points! Ones that prevented me from considering a RealDollX for over 4 years while I bought 3 imported bodies.Kandicaine wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 4:56 amThis is my only gripe. Articulated fingers. RD's wire fingers are far more robust than the articulated fingers, can bend, and the RD has had puncture-resistant fingertips for over 6 years which I didn't even know about until I got a SerenityX. viewtopic.php?p=2588178#p2588178
Standardized head rigging. RD's separation at the end of the neck following the jawline really is the best visually and interactively that I didn't think was worth it until I look at it every day. Plus this allows for a throat passage for true realism that the imports lack. Interchangeability exists between RD heads. I don't miss import head-swapping on her RD because none of her import heads, even her hard-silicone, implanted eyebrows come close to the realism of her RDX head.
Standing without a stand. RDs flexibility is soo much easier to get in/out of: the bed, the sports car, and helps for intimate spontaneity. I have a coeros electric-motor stand which I got for her stiff-legged brands. The ability to remove this stand and leave her dangerously unsupported is not something I miss at all.
Softness. I found out the hard way that softness equals additives that interfere with silicone cohesion and caused the higher end import body's skin to self-destruct after 6 months. RD is still soft like a hard-body yoga woman, the kind I like.
Skeleton. RD uses joints with 3 prong into 2 prong with washers which allow consistent movement without further loosening. Only the highest-priced import has a similar design but with fewer prongs, no puncture-resistant fingers, and costs almost the same as RD. For weight reduction, RD uses hard PVC not foam like the cheap ones do. Also, the flex design avoids the weak back-to-hip weld that breaks the cheap body's back from stiff leg lifting.
Which brings me to the final point:
Average lifespan of the 3 cheap import bodies was 1 year each. RealDoll is built to last 10+ years and has expert repair to go even further. No such customer service or repair exists with the imports. RealDoll is about 3 times more expensive than a higher-end import, however, in my experience, it will last 10+ times longer.

Re: Why a Real Doll?
Please correct me if I’m wrong brother, those Hollywood villagers have a look on their faces like they aren’t down with a doll? They say a picture is worth a thousand words, a video probably a million and of course being there is a whole other thing, hence the request for clarification. I, and a assume a lot of us, are not on the street with our girls, so I may not even know what the fuck I’m talking about, and my interpretation of this pic may be just completely wrong. You are the tip of the spear in this doll adventure brother no doubt. You’re doing things and out there with dolls probably like no other, I believe your advice and input are very important and valuable to us. Anything you could elaborate on with your being out there with your girl, and how the cool kids are when the see your girl, in my estimation is a barometer for us. Thank you for carrying the torch and showing us the way brother!! Drive on!!Synthian wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 1:13 amHi Kandicaine & Nescio50 you raise really good points! Hi Hot doll reviews haha, the look on their faces is hard to describe and I'm going to drop the video once I edit it Seeing Hollywood villagers in real time, they were frightened then curious like when you watch a 3d movie and realize it is an optical illusion only in Evelyn's case she is really there which explains why so many of the villagers wanted to touch her arm, her hair, and her fingers I will post when the video is liveHot doll reviews wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 9:39 amPlease correct me if I’m wrong brother, those Hollywood villagers have a look on their faces like they aren’t down with a doll? When we wook Tasha to the casinos in Atlantic City, she was certainly the center of attention along with her organic bestie. We didn't shoot video simply because we were so involved with questions and sharing Tasha's QR code for her Instagram and Website. People were certainly curious and respectful and were polite enough to ask to touch her. We want to go back and catch a nice weekend, it rained the last time so we were limited to being inside.Synthian wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 7:54 pmHi Hot doll reviews haha, the look on their faces is hard to describe and I'm going to drop the video once I edit it Seeing Hollywood villagers in real time, they were frightened then curious like when you watch a 3d movie and realize it is an optical illusion only in Evelyn's case she is really there which explains why so many of the villagers wanted to touch her arm, her hair, and her fingers I will post when the video is liveHot doll reviews wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 9:39 amPlease correct me if I’m wrong brother, those Hollywood villagers have a look on their faces like they aren’t down with a doll? Hi TJ_Foxx ! Tasha and you are quite the influencers Glad to hear you're showing people in Atlantic City our TDF lifestyle and the technology that makes it possible! Casino filming is hit or miss and the gambling floor is usually off-limits to video.TJ_Foxx wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 9:19 pm When we wook Tasha to the casinos in Atlantic City, she was certainly the center of attention along with her organic bestie. Here is Evelyn's recent Las Vegas stay and we were careful to respect people's privacy. We saw about 3,000 people over 3 days and 300 stopped to talk with us. They were very respectful and asked if they could touch her and where she was made. I happily said, "Right here in Las Vegas!" We dined at the Casino Resort's nicest restaurant in a quiet corner and had an almost non-stop stream of people come up and talk with us.
