BS
I was once told "that's not possible", so I went out and did the impossible.
I fell in love with a doll...

Not sure if it can be posted here, but a vendor that rhymes with TriliconeGlovers also imports Tayu. I was going to use MRD for my 148cm Peach to the UK but used that vendor instead (because they had a UK office I could ship to). Alice was great in my communications with her though.
Tayu quoted 60 days for mine but it took about half the time too.75 mechanic wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 4:14 pm Nearly half the wait that I was expecting! I believe it was because of Alice and MRD's excellent communication and relationship they have with Tayu.
Also the rectangular connector sucks (I got both). If you try to turn the head to its left it unscrews the connector, so the head just wobbles around. I think it's designed for photography only.

With the head connector, it's unfortunate you had to experience that first hand. But I appreciate the info in learning why the square connector is not user friendly.Pot wot wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 10:36 amNot sure if it can be posted here, but a vendor that rhymes with TriliconeGlovers also imports Tayu. Re: My Robot Doll is the way to go when ordering TAYU
Thank you so much for your kind words, 75 Mechanic! Morgan looks stunning75 mechanic wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 4:14 pm Yesterday I received my order of a Tayu 148D+ with Riley head. I put in my order on December 14th. Alice responded the next day and we began to establish what I wanted. She was so helpful. Her first suggestion was to not go with the square head connector, but with the M16 connector. She said the Tayu square connector was an attempt to prevent swapping heads of other doll makers but wasn't as user friendly as the M16, so I switched. I had wondered why the square connector, figured it was better, but I guess not. Second, I had ordered additional face and body moles, 12 in total, but didn't really know how to find an example for my desired placement. Alice suggested to take a screenshot from the video display of the 148D+, then edit the screenshot with dots to convey my desired mole placement. She made my order prosses easy and worry free.
Now I was told production time was about 60 days. So, I prepared myself for the long wait. To my surprise, I got a makeup validation email January 2! I had ordered custom makeup and I liked what I saw. Then I got an even better surprise, an email of pre-shipment photos and videos on January 15! Nearly half the wait that I was expecting! I believe it was because of Alice and MRD's excellent communication and relationship they have with Tayu.
MRD is deffenity the way to go, especially when ordering a Tayu doll. And by the way, my BEAUTIFUL new gal is named Morgan.
We’re working hard on rebuilding our new website and hope to release a first version next week. Your encouragement means a lot!
Enjoy your time with Morgan, and thank you again for trusting us!

I made the mistake of getting the rectangular connector and have the same problem. I got frustrated and designed a replacement with the threads being "full" instead of having the same rectangular profile and 3D print replacements for myself. But my 3D printer isn't set for good material so what I print will easily break. Still, for the time it holds, it's better than the head disconnecting.
