After watching a bunch of You Tube videos and prowling around on The Doll Forum to learn about the concept of owning a life sized doll I went on Rosemary Doll's web site over in New York and decided I was going to buy one.
After scrolling through all the different brands and doing some research I found WM seemed to be closest to what I was looking for and fell within the price range I was planning to spend and the reviews were good and they were one of the brands that had been in business the longest so it seemed like a fairly safe bet. So I found Stacy on Rosemary Doll web site selected all the free options and hoped for the best.
My order was confirmed and I was sent some factory images prior to shipping and a couple of weeks later she showed up at my door on a Fed Ex truck. I could see on the shipping notification the box weighed 111 lbs packed including the free second head and the box. So I was playing drums waiting for the Fed Ex guy to pull up with my new imaginary girlfriend and before I knew it up came the Fed Ex truck. Before I could go outside to meet the guy, thinking he was going to wheel it up to my door on a hand truck or a dolly the delivery driver lifted up the box with his bare hands and threw it over one shoulder and carried the giant box over his shoulder with one hand to my door. I couldn't believe it. This guy was like a fking powerhouse. I like to think I am in good shape, and I work out and lift weights and go running but no way in Hell I could throw that box over one shoulder and walk it inside my front door.
Anyways, the box had a lot of exterior damage when it arrived but the contents arrived immaculate with no imperfections. Everything was carefully packed.
All I could say about the product is that I have not been able to stop staring at the doll since I put the head on. She is so beautiful and well made. The factory images Rosemary Doll does not do the doll justice. The doll is so cool to have around I don't even know if I am going to use it because I don't want to break it. It is just so amazing just to have around the house. I was so amazed with the lifelike features and quality of this doll I have not been able to eat a complete meal in two days.
I selected a tan complexion and online it looks very dark but in real life the skin color was absolutely perfect. The skeleton frame seems to constructed well but I am trying to be extremely careful on how I manipulate the hinges because I do not want to wear it out or damage it. A lot of people on here warn not to purchase a doll over 30 kg as your first doll because of the weight. Stacy is a 162cm 35 kg and you have to be very careful how you lift the doll to avoid throwing out your back. I recommend purchasing a weight belt or doing some lower back weight training. Also I suggest if you are a 1st time doll buyer like me to prep the room and ensure there is nothing within 10 feet of the tall that can scrape the soft TPE and to limit moving the doll around as much as possible until you familiarize yourself with the handling and what you can and cannot do in terms of posing the doll in different positions.
I have only had the doll now for a little over 24 hours and I will say this, you know you made a good purchase if given the opportunity would you do it again. In this case I absolutely would and definitely will purchase from Rosemary for my next one because I want to try and keep this one around for a while.
