It was more difficult sharing the news with Penny after getting home that night.
Something about voicing it out loud to her actually had me in tears as if I had broken the news "in person" to a loved one about a good friend.
While recently taking some time away from the forum, it always seemed like I could expect to check up on Nanako's page, and look forward to catching up on so many of their weekly posts.
Fortunately, I do get to see some of their work regularly - Nanako's photos hang in my bedroom.
They so generously sent us some prints last year and they have been pinned on the wall ever since.
I could never take them down. Both the Nanakos and he, were not only our friends, but Penny and I looked up to them as mentors.

Their work blended the line between photo and art so seamlessly, with so much soul laced into it. The Nanakos had such life to their photos)
He gave great photo advice and showed me a couple tutorials that continue to help with even more than just photo.
Then there's Nana Chan and Nanako who were inspirations to Penny.
We could never thank them enough for the knowledge and friendship they shared.
Nanako and Penny also seemed to have such great chemistry. We were truly honored to have collaborated with them on a couple photos last summer.
I wish we could have had the chance to collab once more.
Penny and I greatly miss our friends...
