Now it's just a matter of working with the material and foam rubber. The doll's eyes will be cut out of a white plastic sour cream cup. The pupils will be made of self-adhesive paper.Dollscience wrote: ↑Fri May 02, 2025 9:46 pm
I've put all the photographs of your pattern pieces into software and superimposed gridded lines onto them. Thus making them easier to draw freehand. If you want will send them to you or post them here.
However, if you have something to show us, show it. Maybe it will be useful.

But at first I wanted to make them in one structural connection with the eyes. using a round bandage made of aluminum wire and elastic fabric. so that the eyelids open and close to the desired height. but the customer was in a hurry. he agreed to a more primitive way of closing the eyes.
the current Tinkerbell doll is even more primitive in this regard. I do not have large plastic balls for her eyes. her eyes are just flat plastic plates cut out of a sour cream glass. ding is not capable of any maneuver or "shooting with her eyes". which is of course a pity. that's how things are.
and what do you have that's new?

I still don't understand how the eyes work, however I will think deeply on your explanation to try and understand it. As for me amigo I am always busy. I have been making a second pattern for a second doll rather than repairing the first doll which I view as a waste of time as I don't want my first doll she is too large imo.. I will show you the second doll which adheres to your ass pattern a lot more better when I have finished sewing it as I took more time to draw it better. All the best!Mister Designer wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 5:26 pmDollscience wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 4:43 pm

How is this achieved?it was done simply. even primitively. eyelids are cut out of gray plush, flat plastic cotter pins are glued to them from the inside and placed on the eyes. cotter pins are pushed between the balls of the eyes (the balls allow you to change the direction of the doll's gaze) and the eye sockets, thus securing them to the general structure. that's all. the doll is asleep.

thank you.
I explained about the eyes as best I could.
And about the fact that you are now working on the next doll, taking into account the shortcomings of the previous one, that is good. That is correct.
I also decided to change the design of the patterns for Tinkerbell. In the direction of increasing all the details by 2 cm in height and 1 cm in width.
I wonder what our mutual Mexican friend has new. I remember he was planning to make his doll by the beginning of summer.

of course you will. (if you do not abandon this craft). after all, you are a reasonable person (Homo sapiens). and a person can do everything. especially such a trifle as a doll.
