Others argue it defeats the purpose of a torso doll: compact, affordable, and easy to handle. Adding a head and hands increases both the price and the weight.

Re: Are Torso Dolls with Heads & Hands the Best of Both Worlds or a Waste of Money?
Opening the box was game changing. Slapped her together and wow, the size and weight, the visuals of her entire body, lips, eyes, large breasts was unbelievable. Needed Torso for Weight and size (small place) also price (didn't know if I would be wasting money on something that would only be as good as cheap headless torso). The difference is night and day.
When she's is on top ,my hands holding hers (keeping her upright) with the weight of her focused right on my "lap" it is very comparable to being with someone else (the optics of it was mind blowing). The sight of her breasts swaying ,the sound when she is grinding on my "lap" ( when we move in such a way that my hips and her off balance-ness, only held in place by our hands holding, produces sounds internal to her, not like real life but a new erotic sound for me).
This would not work if she had legs holding her up off of my body and the weight of her is perfect (at under 50lbs) not to much and not to little, I don't know how long this will work as her joints loosen overtime it might not be possible to get the same grinding action (due to leveraging her body by moving her arms with my own) it blew me away how good it felt and at the moment the only position we have that really works for me. She is way to short for me on top (I would be looking at the pillow not her) and nothing in my small place is tall enough to place her at the right height. But I will not trade the very realistic feel of her grinding .
SO NOT A WASTE OF MONEY. I say best compromise for space while having the best optics......
Food for thought ,her on top as above ,but she has follow me eyes ,she's griding away on top while looking into your eyes the whole time, like she waiting to see that moment of climax on your face...

Heads are inexpensive and instant change of ethnicities on the cheap.
Purely a companionship issue as with hands you risk pokies and damage... but can hold hands watching a movie, a handjob with finger bones and hard hands options deluxe silicone dolls, and holding your pizza or beer. and additional photography creativity...
You buy a torso with head either only for the very light weight (Sinodoll) or IF the price reduction compared to a full doll is literally half the price (Zelex SLE)
or what would be an otherwise very heavy doll (170 cm Fanreal Maria) at 2/3 the price.
You got to be more creative with firm pillows sometimes for doggy and a bare crotch without some leg support bearing down on your groin that weighs 60+ lbs for cowgirl.

My qualms has mostly been about the weight. Torsos are often get very close to full size doll weight. Sure it's cheaper but my philosophy on torso is more portability and access.
So to answer your question, probably a waste of money as those features are pointless to me.

My opinion is the same, you definitely need a head if you want immersion, without a head the doll becomes an oversized onahole, but I do not think the arms and hands are all that necessary, for me they only get in the way, and have a possibility of breaking...Dollfriend wrote: ↑Mon Jun 09, 2025 6:12 am My opinion is that you definitely need a head if you want immersion, without a head the doll becomes an oversized onahole, but I do not think the arms and hands are all that necessary, for me they only get in the way, and have a possibility of breaking...![]()

Totally agree with you about the torso! For me, it has to come with the head—only when I can look into her eyes, see her lips and face, do I really feel that excitement. Otherwise, it’s basically just like a plain fleshlight.
Lately, I’ve also been paying close attention to torso-with-head options. I actually found a brand called Yeloly in one of the sharing threads, and I really love their Aretha model. She’s already on my wishlist! Now I just have to work extra hard so I can bring her home ASAP. Can’t wait!

As with all things it’s a compromise and some personal preference. I currently have 2 favourites one with a good quality skeleton and full thighs which is really good for positioning and fun times. The other one has no thighs - just a rounded shape which is really a continuation of the ass. Both are great for cuddle / sleeping partners but of course the poseable thighs allow more versatility. I have found the type with very short “chopped off” legs is not very good - its neither one thing or the other, the stumps look ugly and are always in the way. The most versatile (and most easily damaged) is a torso with thighs and arms but really that is so close to a full doll - only real saving is the weight and awkwardness of the lower legs - you almost might as well have a full doll!

Yeloly is indeed a great silicone torso brand we’ve worked with. Yeloly Aretha is also one of my favorite torso models. I hope you get to bring her home soon!susan wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 5:19 amMy opinion is the same, you definitely need a head if you want immersion, without a head the doll becomes an oversized onahole, but I do not think the arms and hands are all that necessary, for me they only get in the way, and have a possibility of breaking...Dollfriend wrote: ↑Mon Jun 09, 2025 6:12 am My opinion is that you definitely need a head if you want immersion, without a head the doll becomes an oversized onahole, but I do not think the arms and hands are all that necessary, for me they only get in the way, and have a possibility of breaking...![]()

Most users agree that the head is essential for immersion, while the arms and hands are nice extras—great for posing and realism, but also prone to damage. Torso dolls are often chosen to save space, reduce weight, and lower cost, without giving up too much realism. A torso with a head offers more immersive visual and emotional interaction, while the need for arms depends on personal preference and how the doll is used.
Overall, torso dolls strike a balance between portability and a lifelike experience.
Feel free to post a picture or tell us about your experience—we’d love to hear your story!

Re: Are Torso Dolls with Heads & Hands the Best of Both Worlds or a Waste of Money?
i have both, a headless torso with no metal protruding parts or fingers to break and a full doll for presence and roleplay. Torsos arent optimized to look good with heads. I close my eyes and focus on my own body and the feelings with the torso.... and i hang out with and dress the full doll.
My doll heads like having arms and legs, they feel like having less than full is disrespectful.
but torso, offer a level of play, safety and freedom that the full dolls cant compete with cause of the way they are build (skeletons and weight etc)
Re: Are Torso Dolls with Heads & Hands the Best of Both Worlds or a Waste of Money?
I've always been a bit skeptic on arms, though. I feel like by virtue of being more compact, torsos are a bit tougher, or at least you're sure less likely to have them fall over or bump into things with them while carrying as with full-sized dolls

I'm more partial to thighs/half-legs. Less vulnerable than hands, and a joy to squeeze, not to mention, I feel they open up some more clothing options, like stockings or leggings. (Well, I guess you could add those to regular, "nugget" dolls as well, but on those skirts are always just going to sit better)

I would actually prefer the legs go down to just above the knees.

YELOLY brand does this; their half-body dolls have an M16 connection in the neck by default. Customers can also choose not to have this port.OldAsiaHand wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 6:10 pm I saw some of these dolls that are a compromise between a torso and a full doll. I'm not attracted. For me, eliminating the arms below the elbows and the legs below the knees are weight & bulk reducers. However, I need head, so to speak... In fact, when I see those headless devices I find them creepy. Why not at least have an m16 hole in the neck so one has the option to add a head. Leave it at home while travelling.
