Thanks so much for sharing all these details!Arthur1960 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 4:04 amHi there, I actually got both the Maria head and the Starpery 171D tpe body separately from the forum sales section so getting a good skin tone match was a gamble although when I saw pics of the body it looked like the skin tone Starpery had used, which I think is described as light tan, was close to the head I had. The 'light tan' is a little lighter in appearance to Jinsan light tan and just happened to match the Fanreal skin tone for my Maria head, (I'm not sure about Fanreal skin tones) which is also lighter but not quite what is often termed 'natural'. I've attached a couple of pics of my gal with this combo which were taken in natural light. To my eye the skin tone match is about as good as I could wish for when you consider that this is a silicone head on a tpe body. The body did come with its own silicone head as you know, Starpery sell hybrid dolls, hope that helpsCoeros wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 12:48 amThanks so much for your helpful answer! You're absolutely right!Arthur1960 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 12:35 pmHi, i was pleased to discover that my Fanreal Maria head was a perfect skin tone match for a Starpery tpe 171D bod but it can be trial and error to find a good colour match. It's also worth remembering that Fanreal use an M8 thread in their heads so make sure to get an M8 to M16 neck bolt, which I believe Fanreal ship with their heads in any case, certainly mine came with one.![]()
And thank you for sharing your experience with the skin tone matching. Would you mind sharing which skin tone you chose for Maria and which skin tone for the Starpery body? This would be really helpful for friends who want to buy a Fanreal doll head separately to match their Starpery doll body!![]()

The combination looks really natural in your photos! She's absolutely beautiful!
You're right that getting such a natural match does take some luck, since different manufacturers use different formulas for their skin tones. From our experience, lighter skin tones tend to have less noticeable color differences when matched together, and your combination perfectly demonstrates this. This will be super helpful for friends considering pairing a Fanreal head with a Starpery TPE body!
