In Memoriam - Everard
Re: In Memoriam - Everard
I didn't know Everard so I did some digging around here on TDF to see if I could find out a bit more about him in order to add some kind of memorial to him here.
It seems he featured in a very nice documentary film made in about 2015/2016 by a film maker called Sophie Dros.
So I think this is a fitting tribute to him assuming I haven't made a mistake in identifying him.
Here is the film:

I didn't know him myself but surely somebody else here on TDF knew him or has something to add, an anecdote or memory. Otherwise it's a bit sad.

I didn't know him personally or interacted with him on TDF, but I do remember him from the documentary "Love me, Love my doll" from around 2007. That was my introduction to Real Doll's and it had a profound impact on me. I could relate to him, Davecat and Gordon Griggs in various ways, and I appreciated how openly they would share their views on having a doll as a companion.
I haven't seen the documentary you posted here, but I will check it out also. Thanks for sharing it here.

Re: In Memoriam - Everard
And actually not very long ago, I was thinking about the scene in this Documentary where he is sitting with his Girl and the Fireworks goes and he says Happy New Year.
And very soon it is New Year too. And I seriously think about the New which will be ´26 and I truly hope it will be Happy. Especially in these times that we are in now.
Other I remember from this Docu was that he seemed like a very quiet Guy.
But he did what many Doll Enthusiasts just wishing to do and really should do more, and kudos to that.
Hope one day they can get to grips with Cancer. Way too many people dies way too early because of it.

I totally agree with everything you said. He seemed to be a very quiet guy. I liked that fireworks scene too.
I just wanted to try to generate a few more posts about him following his sad death.

Re: In Memoriam - Everard
I never had the chance to speak with him because he was no longer active on TDF when I discovered the forum. But I was very impressed by his photos and the way he spoke about his dolls in this beautiful documentary. He's one of those who helped me understand how dolls can come to life, in their own unique way. In my opinion, he was a great creator and a pioneer.
It's also a very beautiful documentary that Sophie Dros created. Not only aesthetically, but also because it so clearly shows the tenderness Everard felt for his dolls.

I'm glad that we've now had a few more posts on his memorial page, I now feel a lot less sad.

Re: In Memoriam - Everard
Thank you for posting the video.
I have seen Lars and the Real girl before, but not what you posted.
He seemed to be such a caring and logical individual.

I think the video is several years old as it also features a very young looking Matt from Abyss RealDolls.
Here's the video:
Re: In Memoriam - Everard
One guy I would also personally keep far away from in this video is the one who is or at least was collecting actual real Pubic Hair. That s in my book. Huge Red Flag. Keep far away from me, please. Sorry, but I find you very disturbing.
