How do I add a pic to my signature?

Hi!
I'm new here and want to have a pic of my doll in my signature. Is there any way to upload such a pic directly?
It seems like the image has to be a link to another web page. If so, what web page will work? The one I normally use would just provide a link, not the pic itself.

Hope someone can help me with this.

Do you not see this in the Profile section of the editor to upload an image for your Avatar?

Yes, I've seen that and I do have an avatar pic. But it's a pic in the signature I want.

Please respect the size limitation and choose a smaller pic.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I thought I followed instructions
I know that limitation. But in the signature editor there as a link making button, "image600" or something like that, which said it would create a 600x120 pic from the oversized one I uploaded. Well, I uploaded this pic to another thread and then copied it, went to the signature editor and pressed that link making button and pasted the pic inside it.
But, right, I myself thought the result looked like a too large pic, since you must scroll to see it fully.
I have a smaller version since I first tried with that but didn't manage. And that's the reason I started this thread.

So I'll try with this:

What I know that I did was uploading a pic in another thread, a thread where I presented my Alice. Then I copied the link to that pic and pasted it in my signature (User control panel/Profile/Edit signature).

I dont remember what button I pressed to paste the link in. But it's surrounded by [ img ] and [ /img ]. I guess You can write that, but You can also use the button [ img600 ] and get this:

[ img600 ][ /img600 ]

(Obs, I've used the spacebar between "[" and "i" etc. for getting this visible. It shall not be space there.)

Post the link between those "boxes". Then you can just delete 600 from them.

Maybe it isn't necessary to delete 600. I think my problem was that the pic wasn't scaled down automatically to the maximum size of 600x120 pixels, as I thought it would be. So You better do that first by Yourself.

And it worked. So the thing to do is just to post a pic somewhere and copy the image link.
