As the pack of fiends celebrated their victory below, the Elves of the Feather Clan looked on in terror.

They had never witnessed such horrors before.

But the triumph of these beasts was incomplete. One Great Wolf, tho grievously wounded, had survived. The gentle elves could not allow this brave creature to become their next victim!

They knew what had to be done.

Quickly, and more silently than the wind, the two elven maidens descended the great tree. They moved across the forest floor like silent shadows…

Reaching the wounded wolf almost instantly.

“The Princess must be warned.”

Using the restorative powers of their gentle bodies, the two maidens brought the glow of life back into the Great Wolf’s eyes. His wounds were terrible, but the touch of the elves was powerful.

He rose quickly, and bid them climb onto his back.

Silently, the trio loped off into the darkening forest… and away from the horrible clamor of the pack of monsters.

They had terrible news to deliver!

I'm loving the story so far! The Feather Clan are so cute. I absolutely love that HS and need to get more of them into my stories! Hopefully they are luckier than the hunters were!

agent0013 the little ones are 3 to 4 years old. There was a total of 8 in the set. This the only picture of them before they were dressed as tree elves.

Don't you worry, I've already got my collection of all of these lovely ladies!

My Veyronna is the same as the silver haired Feather elf, YMT078D, and Glissa is a YMT079C. As it happens, the two of them made an appearance together in your contest last month!

“How… how can this be???”

The arrival of the elves astride their wounded companion immediately brought alarm to the Princess’s court. Without speaking a word, this act alone conveyed the terrible news.

“Gasp… the Hunters are no more!”

Rhedyn, the Sprite of the Valley, had come to consult with the Princess. The entirety of Fern Valley had been panicking since the arrival of the werewolves. Whatever news the Feather Elves brought with them now would surely only make it worse.

“Dear maidens… please tell us what has happened.”

The gentle elves recounted the tale of horror they’d witnessed… at least as much as they could bear to utter. The news of the transformation of the werewolves into monsters, and their apparent invulnerability weighed heavily. The Great Wolf’s terrible wounds bore witness to it all.

“What can we do against such evil???”

Rhedyn began to chant and dance… her feet drawing power up from the very earth of the Valley. As the energy built up in her body, it began to spread out into the circle of friends surrounding her.

Soon, the entire Court buzzed with her chanting.

The Magic of the Valley gathered in Rhedyn’s hands… swirling and beautiful. All of the land and forest surrounding her vibrated with her chanting. Then, when the energy could be held no longer, it released into the sky… just a single word.

If a dragon isn't entering to some power metal, should they bother to show up at all? This is what was playing in my head when I read this! It's awesome to see this blue beast in action!

FURY OF THE STORM

We are riding for the battle field in force tonight
Fury of the darkest evil cry for war
Far beyond the boundaries of hell and starlight
On the road to lands unknown forever more

Through the caverns far below our quest will lead us
Onwards through the ice and snow forever more
Standing fighting full of hate the time has come now
Stand and sound the guns of glory cry for war

On wings of glory we will carry on
Far across forgotten lands towards the distant sun
And in the darkness shining far beyond the starlight
Lightning is striking from the dark dawning shadows
And in the kingdom of the everlasting sun
When the glory of the master’s time has come

Into the fires of forever we will fly through the heavens
With the power of the universe we stand strong together
Through the forced of power, it will soon reach the hour
For victory we ride, Fury of the Storm!

We are the chosen ones we can not fail now

Yes… I made a dragon and brought it with me to LR’s place!

Actually, these posts give me the opportunity to properly introduce other characters now. I’ll likely do some catchup on their creation process over on my Diary thread soonish. Sure seems like I have quite a backlog… lol

The Princess recounted the terrible tale of the werewolves, the hunters and the impossibility of it all. The situation was wholly without precedent.

“How could these beasts even find Fern Valley? The magic here is strong!”

The Feather Elves came forward with their wounded companion and recounted as best they could the horrors they’d witnessed. Lyra pressed them for more details about the magical effects they’d seen… and their source.

“The beast called ‘Father’ by the others carried a staff topped by a horrible skull and large crystal.”
