One thing I noticed while doing the shooting: Contrary to the other bodies I saw, including the first Starpery, the silicone of the neck end around 1cm above the threaded tube of the skeleton. On the others, it end at the level of the metal. I don't know if it's common or not. It's good when using a screw in connector because the silicone of the neck press against the head and prevent her from rotating too freely. But when using a pop-up connector, the silicone of the neck push the head out, especially when bending the head downward. It was ok if I didn't screw it fully but it would be better if the pop-up connector was a little longer. (Is it possible to find pop-up connectors of various length?)

The Zhu Lin soft silicone head with some better wigs than the one that come with it:

Very sexy! Love that body, and the tongue & teeth really add character.

Yes, but you can use the kit only on a soft silicone (or TPE) head with oral. By the way, on the last photos of the Zhu Lin, it's the original teeth: Normally they are glued inside a nock behind the upper lip. I asked Starpery not to glue them and to send them separately so they won't interfere with the kit. It's easy to put them back in place and they hold well enough without glue.

As you can see, if you spread her legs apart, the hole open but it's mostly the entrance (first 1cm). The inside, after the first cm seems not to be affected much.

The design is successful. The entrance widens, but in a rather natural way.
I have also seen pictures of the 172 cm in this position and it gave about the same effect. The designers at Starpery seem to have done a good job with this.

My first Starpery was a 169. Great body! The waist is a little on the small-side for me and she is not truly 169cm - but shorter, but everything else is awesome. The hands and feet on this model are particularly properly sized, with good detail and proportion. I'm a tall guy, so I like the taller dolls, otherwise I would consider buying another 169, especially since the introduction of weight reduction and gear joints. Hope you get to really enjoy your new lady. Cheers!

Her waist is around 58/59cm. Many dolls around that size/body shape have a much smaller waist (55cm or even less). But I agree that, imho, it is a little small compared to her hips especially since they made her ass bigger. I would prefer if she had smaller hips but can't have everything

I didn't measured her whole high with her head. The new body may be a little taller because I think her neck is a little longer (the silicone end-up 1 cm above the neck skeleton. I don't think it was the case with the original model). And I guess one head can be a little higher than another depending of the sculpt. Also, it's difficult the make her stand really straight: her back is pretty arched (damn ass...) but, naturally, it's not because her skeleton is (there is a brand that have a skeleton with many joints in the spine but I don't remember which one?). It's just how the silicone sculpt, over the skeleton, looks like.

Thank you so much for your detailed report and amazing images! You have some really thoughtful opinions about the doll, and Iā€™m sure anyone who is interested in Starpery dolls (like me) would definitely benefit from your insight.

Hope to read more about how your opinions change as you spend more time and experience more with the doll.

Yes, narasinha, thank you for this very thoughtful review. It answers several questions that I had that were not so fully addressed in other threads. Your communications with the factory were invaluable for my own informed decision making!

narasinha wrote: ā†‘Tue Oct 18, 2022 3:47 pm Here is the official mensuration of the doll and the ones I took. For information, I listed the SEXYE TPE doll that I have too as they are similar in sizes. The SEXYE has much smaller hips and bottom. Her arms and and legs are also more thin. She is in TPE which is usualy a little lighter than silicone. That explain why she is a little lighter even if she has a wider waist.

mensuration.jpg

The official mensuration pretty match what I measured myself and are well in the error margin. I find it difficult to measure the hip size of a doll because there is no bones. The 98 cm is when measured at the widest point which is also over her generous bottom. If taken a little above, so it isn't measure over her bottom, the circumference is around 92 cm.

Speaking of her hips and bottom, here is a comparison of the original body without weight reduction (on the left) and the new one with weight reduction (on the right). Is it just me or did she put on weight on her hips and bottom while losing weight? o.O :haha4: Maybe it's the position of the dolls or the angle of the shots? But I seem to remember that the first body was less pear-shaped.

This is very interesting and explains the changes I also noticed pasted below. Old style on the left half, new on the right.

I may have missed it but the other 169c reviews haven't mentioned this change of hip/ass. I prefer the new style.

Your replacement doll looks great. (I've also seen this is an older thread but worthwhile to update)
