Undoubtedly you had done a marvelous repair job!
Technically, this is what I think...
The original hole is meant to be screwed to a vertical rod and is always parallel to the spine. So, no problem if you do so.

Her total body weight is 25kgs and you hanged your doll at an angle. The hanging point is approx at upper 1/3 of her spine. That means 25kgs weight was to be supported by the remaining 2/3 hollow bars at a slanting angle. Obviously it will break at mid-point.
If you intend to do more standing stunt, I suggest to make a support over her neck . This is what I did

It's a piece of thick plastic and I have yet to try out. But technically speaking, should it breaks, it will only be the connecting screw or the plastic. At least it won't hurt my doll (hopefully), what do you think?
