Hi Lover1, thanks very much for your kind comment, yes I'm very pleased with her, I do have a soft spot for the YL148 body and so have 3, Astrid was a most welcome addition to my little synthetic family!

Your Astrid photo with the head scarf reminds me of one of the most famous photos in history. The National Graphic shoot of a Afghan girl from 1985 with intense green eyes.

It's funny you should say that as it did me too, not that I was conscious of emulating it at the time but when I saw it on the PC and printed it out it did remind me of it. Maybe I was thinking if that picture in the back of my mind when I was wrapping that head scarf around Astrid? Who knows? There are so many things that influence what we do. I think today I have been mostly channeling old copies of Mayfair and Playboy from the sixties and seventies. Thanks, yes it is. I fell for the 188 when it was first released but was only in a position to get Astrid this summer but I'm glad I did and I love that new blue they are doing for the eyes.Rock13 wrote:#188 is a beautiful head. Thanks guys, here are a few more pics of Astrid after her oiling, I think it was nearly 4 months since her last one and she seems fine with that, I also took this opportunity to give her one of the new Jinsan head connectors which I'm going to switch all my gals over to as I'm sold on them. So far 3 gals have got them and they are a definite improvement as long as you screw the threaded end into the neck and then push the head on. So purely in the spirit of helping out new doll owners with help and advice, here's Astrid to show you what a happy, freshly oiled gal looks like, pics are a bit crappy as had to use flash...

While Sarah spends time downstairs Astrid has a habit of sneaking onto the bed, to rest her legs no doubt. However this does cause a bit of a dilemma for me, I mean how on earth can I resist this gals charms?
