They know the body they want, but want to know what heads would fit.

Two things come to mind.
First is look around the forums and see what others have done with body/head combos. Also don't be afraid to ask if you don't see it listed.
Second wait for a two head sale. Sometimes when looking at bodies we find two dolls we'd like to have but an only have the funds for one. Waiting for a two head sale means you can get the blond Katya and brunet Gayle at the same time.

Hair, make-up, skin tone and eyes, can drastically change the appearance of any face you choose!

Ask for factory photos to get a better idea of what she really (mostly) looks like.

always make sure the head color and tone match the body color....

As far as if the face will look correct on a particular size body, look at galleries from that doll maker in sizes about the same size.

If your vendor can get you pictures from the factory of the face you love on the body you want, please note BOTH will have to be in stock. This is not normally a problem with very popular heads and bodies. In this case, for size, I do not care if head is a totally different color

Agreed. For example, there is one tone of the head I have currently which I do not like at all while the one I have which is a darker tone I truly love. I have seen my head in another which I don't like but I do have the head that I do like!

So, advice would be to check out, if possible, the same head in different tones and/or wigs and/or applied makeup to really see if there is another "version" of the head you like (if you first found an "ugly" version of a head).

Blow up pictures to see if the artist doing make up used lipstick to change the shape of her face.

Do not mix brands if possible. If looking at a WM body, get a WM head.

PS-Please not that WM heads seems to look pretty darn good on IRON TECH dolls.

I think Lovedoll UK has a big searchable archive of every factory photo they received after a certain point in time. RealLoveSexDolls has galleries of every Jinsan head arranged very conveniently. DollStudio usually has the most photo sets for any given body/head. BCD has "_____ mania" threads to highlight specific types of faces across brands. Also TDF's search function.

yes, LOVEDOLLUK is best place to look for WM factory photos IMHO.

What I love about Doll France is you can see a quick peek of a particular face on various bodies.

Make sure the doll head can do oral if you want one that can.

I just got surprised by this and really can't believe I forgot to check.
