Thank, no, you've not missed anything... This is a role played by Hadaly, an idea perhaps conditioned by my own experience and history.
I think I've been influenced by some recent posts in forums about the separation between a DO and his doll. So I imagined a separation from Hadaly, and what I might have written in such a moment. The photo shows Hadaly reading the letter.

The letter exists. I wrote it while I was shooting. It's written in french.

I translated it, especially for TDF friends, with the help of Deepl. I hope I haven't made any mistakes in the meaning of this text :

My dear Hadaly,

You know how many happy moments we've had, and how much I want to keep them intact, deep in my heart, like a priceless treasure, from which I'll draw a little comfort when I need it.

But life doesn't lead us in a straight line to the destiny we've been assigned.

We are carried along by the currents of our affections, and only God knows how changeable they are.

So my being has taken a fork in the road, which must lead to other encounters, other experiences, other wonders, other sadnesses too...

Don't be angry with me, Hadaly, I do not deserve your hatred, any more than I deserved your love.

Please run towards other lives, carrying our common, dead passion like a living force.
