Can you really leave the dry stick in for a few hours?

I have one that's has charcoal and it says to only leave it in for at least 15 sec and take it out, air dry and then repeat.

By now, i have already gather a good set of tools.
For example, curved scissors in case of tearing or the like, peroxyde for cleaning, a hair brush that untangle wigs, socks for drying inner cavities and the like.
Those can be found on the net, but not from specialized doll shop.
Maybe i can be a good idea to have a kit with different usefull tools
