It's great to see these girls being released from imprisonment. Thank you!
But I have some questions...
50% off what? $400, $600, $850 ? Plus a shipping fee? So one of these "Ugly crippled" heads you had to "clean up" could cost nearly $500USD after shipping?
Or are they closer to $200? $200 with free shipping would be an appropriate price. I like that price.
These girls were destined for the GARBAGE DUMP. Do yourselves a favor and earn some DOLL KARMA by getting these girls good homes at a FAIR PRICE. The holiday season is getting close. Lots of $$$ to be made for companies who are good to the doll community.
I’d guess they’d be 50% off the standard EB head price which I think is about $850? So, $425 + what…? Shipping a head can’t be that bad, so maybe $50 for a final price of $475?
Not cheap, but for a silicone head and given the uniqueness and the regular EB head price, not a bad deal.
I still think Elsa is mistaken if they are really letting this designer go. Maybe his style doesn’t quite meet EB’s vision, but what if he takes his talents to a competitor? Maybe it would have been wiser to keep him and diversify their head lineup.
(Still think this is a marketing test/ploy, but whatever. The heads are beautiful and the threads have been fun.)
Maybe you should give these dolls to people who really want them? I'll be happy to pass on any free doll head if it meant someone else who fell in love with these girls actually got one for the cost of only shipping.
I mean, you were going to throw them away anyway ... right? It's not like you already recycled them a month ago and had to stall for time long enough to remake them ... right?

No, suuuurely they wouldn't do that.. that would be a dick move, remaking them to capitalize on demand for something that was to be thrown away because of a disagreement with an artist.. (so the demand was only there with the understanding they might be given free).. though that 50% off retail, that sure seems like it'd still be a small profit.. and no one would try to profit off of factory 2nds.. It's probably just a mistake I mean if they threw them away, they'd definitely have the honor to just say "sorry, we tossed em already" instead of leading people (and rats!) on for so long.
Fwiw, head #2 in this post is the one that I wanted to save

Let me know when you throw these two in the mix and we might strike a deal
The final "jnx" head is nice but I prefer this beta version so much more!

Totally agree. This is like a bait and switch. You don't tell people you are going to throw these girls away, but then when people express an interest to save them (and offer to pay shipping), you try and charge them 50%++. Not cool at all. I could accept a shipping and handling charge, but not a discount from full price on what was essentially their trash.
Trust me, Elsa Babe, the positive publicity is worth more than the few $1000 you might get from over-pricing your trash.. Besides, I thought your message was that you have high standards. Now you are saying you like to profit from your mistakes?
