Anyone here ever ordered a Tayu with their flight case as an upgrade?

Hey again--
I posted this thread in the Dolls general board, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to share it here as well:

I'm curious if anyone here has ordered a flight case as an optional upgrade for shipping (in this case, it's a custom-made one that Tayu will make for me)? I emailed Alice already with basically the questions listed out in my other thread, but I am still waiting to hear back from her, and curious to know if anyone can shed some light on how this logistically would work.
Cheers!

I think that the flightcases themselves are put in a cardboard box, and that there is no more risk that this will be opened by customs than any other cardboard box.

I would rather save the money and spend it on clothes.

If I were living in a different part of the world/country, I'd agree with you. But the way *all* of the biggest shipping carriers treat packages in general where I live, but especially large/heavy ones.. let's just say I'd have paid over $4k (with add-ons, customization etc) only for the doll of my dreams to be destroyed *after* it gets to my area. I've gone through too many of these types of ordeals to leave it up to chance, hence me forking over the extra money for a hard case.

Couldn't agree more.
I'd say from China to mid USA, is quite a distance for human error to destroy a very pricey investment. Plus, every time you move. Wouldn't you like the convenience & privacy provided by a hard case?
I believe they come with roller wheels as well.

I ordered a 158c in late February with a flight case - will report on how it goes - can’t wait!
