Do yourself a favor and find a local cheap wig shop, $35 - $45 range of synthetic human hair. After that, buy some $5 foam heads to store the wigs on. If you don't have such a wig shop in your area, please PM me, and I'll help you out (prices will be a good $10 higher + shipping).

always need to use good quality ... cheap low quality wigs can easily damage the dolls face and scalp.

i always use an extra protection mask on the top of the head before wearing wigs to my dolls. it has helped me for years to save my dolls cute bold head

The wig netting underneath, I have found to be the biggest offender. Some are black and I have had them leave mild stains. I try not to leave these on long and I in general don't leave a wig on my girl unless it is one that is from a vendor and has tan netting.
You can use a wig cap to help protect the scalp while wearing a wig with black netting and that will help.
