I wanted to have a week of experience before reviewing.As a background, this is my first doll. I have searched around this forum and it has been extremely helpful in choosing my brand. I decided on DsDoll because it had the appearance I liked the most and it was decently priced. I hope my review will be useful to new buyers.
DsDoll customer service
Bar none, this is the best service I've had in a while. I was on email with John very frequently exchanging question and answers. The doll we ended up was the Kayla head 160+. I got the yellow skin since I felt the pink skin was too "pink" for me. I got the finger wires, stiff joints, and nails, no pubic hair, and brown eyes. At first I was worried that the yellow skin would be too yellow. Like a patient with a liver problem. But when I received her, the skin is very light yellow. Looks like normal "asian" skin to me.
John answers emails very very quickly. The only time he didn't respond was when he forgot to send me the tracking number, which he sent me after I reminded him.
The long wait
John said the doll was in manufacturing after I finished paying the initial payment. The doll has two payments. You pay a smaller portion in the beginning. Then their team goes to work and once the doll is finished John will take photos of the doll for you. You will then pay the remaining balance which will be a larger payment than the first one. The doll took 1.5 weeks to manufacture for me. Very fast! Shipping was extremely fast. I believe it ended up being 3-4 days. See picture below. If you live on the east coast you might have a couple more days. I had no issue with the box being held in customs. The box did not seem to be opened either while in transit.

Packaging
The box is freakin' huge. The box is around 151cm x 48cm x 44cm. DsDoll's website said it will weigh in total 50kg. That's like 110lb!!! I thought I was going to be unable to move the box around without another person to help. Thankfully, when the box came off the truck the DHL brought it in. I found the sticker at the top of the box saying that the shipment was 31kg. So it wasn't nearly that heavy. I was able to push the box on the carpet floor into the desired location. The box is small enough to fit inside normal doors. If you have to turn the box and the walkway is narrow, you can stand the box up while moving it around, DsDoll did a good job protecting the doll inside.
The DHL person just asked me to sign. No ID or customs paperwork. He then left.
The box had some damaging on the sides as expected. The box is very very thick. There was no damage to the foam inside. The bottom of the box was wet a bit because it was raining on the delivery date.

I am saving the box and all the foam and padding for the next time I move. I don't think it will be easy for me to find another box like this unless I make my own out of wood.
The doll (warning, some sexual description provided...)
The doll is gorgeous. The breasts are incredibly soft. The butt is a bit on the firm side. Like someone who works in the gym a lot. Doesn't bother me. The stomach, shoulders, legs, thighs, back are all very soft. Very lovely. Feels very nice to cuddle next to while sleeping
Hard not to get aroused.When first getting the doll there will be a noticeable chemical odor from the box foam packaging, tape, and the silicone. I washed the doll in the shower and then powdered her with baby powder (corn starch). This helped a bit but the odor was still strong enough such that you probably wouldn't want to cuddle with it in bed all night. I can say though that the odor from the DsDoll is more pleasant than my fleshlight (when it was new)
The good news is that the odor disappears quite rapidly. You want to air the room and have the doll naked and gas out. The process will take a couple days and after a week (so far) I can sleep with the doll next to me in the bed. I think by the first month it will be relatively odorless and eventually completely odorless. Washing the doll with lovely smelling soap will help.
The skin right from the factory is sticky. You will need to apply baby powder to make it life like and smooth. I applied with my hands and then used a makeup brush to make the powder go away. You will need a brush for hard to reach areas and applying on the face.
I got the stiff joints for posing and to hold positions when I wanted to get down with it.
I think it was a good choice. I don't regret getting the stiff joints. It will require planning on what positions you want to use but you will eventually learn the ins and outs of the joint mechanicals and moving from one position to another will be quite easy. Follow the http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=143&t=53612 guide for new users as the joints are based not on ball joints.The sexual experience is fantastic. It feels incredibly real. Simply put it's heaven.
For first time users, the doll will beat your hand or Fleshlight or any other toy hands down. The DsDoll insert in my opinion feels better than the Fleshlight.The insert provided is lovely and has a suction effect. The back of the insert is not open like the FleshLight, so any lubricant applied will remain inside. When inserting the insert into the opening, make sure you put baby powder around the outside. I apply lubricant before putting the insert in the opening since it's less messy. When putting the insert in, I use my fingers (make sure your nails are cut) to squeeze the insert so that the air is let out and it's easier to shove in.
The insert is easy to clean. I use head and shoulders shampoo and use my fingers to move in and out of the insert to clean the inside. I no longer turn the insert "inside out" since I found that it damages it (cracks will appear). When the insert is reasonably clean you can dry it out. Padding the outside dry is easy. Drying the inside is easy too: get a T-shirt and use your finger to stick a small part of the T-shirt in to the hole and it will absorb all the moisture.
The hair is great. Although I don't like the curliness on the bottom. I wish the black long hair was "longer". I will probably buy another wig later that suites my taste. The hair stays on the head without slipping off. It is secured. Even during "rough" times. The hair has no odor from my experience. Washing it with shampoo will make it smell lovely. The hair tangles easily. Having the doll on the bed for a couple days, the doll's hair looks like a total mess.
Certain intercourse positions with the doll is not really easy. These include "girl on top" positions because the doll will not be able to support herself unless you are incredibly strong. "From behind" and missionary are easily doable. While standing and while lying on the bed were both possible. Spooning is a bit more challenging but doable. You will have to try it out and see and keep in mind to be delicate with the fingers and toes. They're extremely fragile.
If you live in a cold area, the doll will get cold. Heating blankets can help but I find that my own body warmth will eventually warm the doll up quite fast.
Be careful not to spread the legs too wide. If you spread the legs so wide, there will be gaps between the insert and the opening. That is probably a bad sign.
When done with the doll, always put the "holder insert" DsDoll provided to close the opening. This will help the opening keep its shape when the dolls legs are closed together. You don't want the opening to rip because you are storing the doll with its legs closed for a long time.
In terms of weight, the doll is not too heavy not too light. It would be nice is it were lighter but I got the lifesized doll. She's around 5 feet tall. For those considering the 160+ or other similar sized dolls, make sure you are comfortable lifting 60 lbs. The doll is very long and the center of mass is not concentrated like a gym dumb bell. When I move her, I carry her with arms on neck and arms on legs (where it bends). I find this the easiest way to move her. There will be times when you may have to lift her up from the floor. For those with bad backs, this may be a problem since it will put some stress on those muscles.
The doll looks incredibly life like. It is fun to cuddle when sleeping and its presence is warming. I would say the proportions are too "perfect".
I still have to buy clothes for her. The doll is incredibly skinny so buying clothes will be a quest in and of itself. I'll get some more pictures when I get more clothes for her. For now I only have underwear... For now here's a photo of her.
