I have a WM 140 with a #36 head at the moment and have been eyeing the WM156. After seeing this I'm almost convinced to go with a WM head on a DS body approach. Personally, I really like the WM heads. I'm finding the TPE to be a bit of a pain to maintain, especially with the ease it's getting abrasion marks.

With the WM head, you said that is from a 140cm doll. From the photos the head still looks to be the right size even with the 163 DS body. My fear would be that my WM 140 would be too small for the 163 body. Is there any chance you can measure the full height of the WM head from top of head to chin? This will help me to confirm if mine is the right size for this combo. Also is Skylar's head the 'natural' WM skin color?

The measurement from top of head to chin is 8.5 inches. It is the natural color, slightly pinker than the DS, but not bad. I put some permatex windshield sealer on the DS neck to prevent interaction with the TPE.

Perfect! Just measured mine and it is roughly the same. Wasn't too easy to do a super accurate measurement with a tape measure/ruler. Will start researching DS dolls now

No interference, just a thin layer on top and about 1/4 inch down the side of neck stump, preserves the integrity of the silicone and can't be seen because it's perfectly clear.

Yes, I realized the glasses trick too. love the closed eyes for in bed overnight and other... Events

I get all my wigs from Amazon.com, usually don't spend more than 15-30.00 and take my chances, I return them if they suck, Amazon doesn't have a problem with it. Some of the prettiest wigs I purchased cost only 12.00. There is a link to a nice brown wig in the Inara pony blog.

Go for it! DS 163 regular with pink skin, the head is a modified TPE WM #39, DS has a similar head, the Kayla CE

Just WOW! I cannot say anything more than has already been said in this very well replied to, and very well deserving thread. What you have on your hands is pure perfection! Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOO much for the photos, she is beyond what my words can describe! You have a true talent with a camera (one I would hope to gain one day, and who knows, with my next purchase of a DS doll, I may be very well motivated to try and do so). As much as I like the amateur photos to show me what my doll will most likely look like when I get her, I must say that your photographs are FAR beyond amazing, and again, I thank for you sharing them and not only that, but so MANY of them!

P.S. As shameless as I feel in asking this, would you mind sharing with me/us where you purchased the Hello Kitty shorts in on page 8 of the thread where she is on the wooden deck? I have to admit, the shorts are almost as sexy as your woman is herself!!!
