Question from a pretty computer/TDF illiterate:

How do I set up a signature line linking to a thread of my doll

I would like it to say (in blue) "Heidee's Thread YL 148cm"

I tried but it didnt look right. Please walk me thru step by step like I am a 48 year old child (which I am).

I personally opened TDF twice (in one window I opened "User control panel", and in the other "Your own post".
In "Your own post" I right clicked on my thread and selected "copy thread address".
Then I copied and pasted it into my signature edit window (I also copied the thread name, which I placed in bold in front of the link).

Basic method, because I'm a noob, but it works.
Some people manage to turn the thread name into a link (but I don't know how).

To edit your signature go to the User Control Panel (UCP) > Profile > Edit Signature.
You'll find the UCP on the top right on your user name.
Or click this link: ucp.php?i=ucp_profile&mode=signature
Here you have the same advanced editor as for every post.

Do it like 4891d described, that should do the trick.

If you want the link with nice descriptive text you must use the URL tag like this:

Code: Select all

[url=link to your thread]descriptive text[/url]
An example:

Code: Select all

Keira (Phicen Arhian Pirate) - [url=https://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=117444]outdoor adventures[/url]
Will look like this:
Keira (Phicen Arhian Pirate) - outdoor adventures

Thanks all. Please have a look at my signature. I am doing as you are saying but it does not work. Signature shows the code and not the intended result.

You had the checkbox "Disable BBCode" active. I've disabled it, now it is working.
