I will try to answer your question as I understand it Navydave.

First, as to which type of material. This can be confusing because you often see online vendors (such as Aliexpress for example) advertising inflatable dolls as “silicone”. But to my knowledge, aside from a few companies that produce custom dolls, no one commercially produces a silicone inflatable doll.

This leaves you with latex or vinyl. Unfortunately the latex doll market has just about dried up, and the only one to my knowledge that’s still being produced commercially is the French Domax Poupee. These are very nice dolls, but they can be costly if you are in North America. Expect to pay around $350.00 by the time she hits your doorstep.

Then there are the vinyl dolls which offer the most options available to you today. I don’t know where you are, but here in North America the best of these dolls are imported by either Pipedreams or California Exotics. You can also check Amazon for these dolls.

This is like comparing Apples to Oranges, From what I have gathered perusing TDF is that Latex was used in making Inflatable Dolls way back in the Day, nowadays Latex Dolls are a Rarity, Silicone of course is used on the Most High End Dolls Available...
