Avatar problems

Hi, I'm trying to add an avatar but everytime I try it keeps saying that the file is too big. How do I downsize an image file size so I can use it ?

There are many free or standard tools to resize an image.

But if you cannot find them, post your image in this thread and I will resize it for you.

If the last pic is too big then try this one if its easier.

I think the photos are the right size now. I reduced them to 120 pixel high.

Hope they are correct.

FWIW, there's some free and open-source software called The Gimp that's equivalent to the cut-down versions of Photoshop Adobe used to sell and will run on just about any computer. I'd recommend it to anyone who has light photo editing needs like in this thread.

Personally, though, I use Affinity Photo, which costs about $50, once, (and goes on sale frequently) that has more features, a better UI and better user support than The GIMP.
