Thankful For Our Dolls

I did not see your thread until now. I asked Splash and he reminded me of a post I made on Jessica Kimberdolls thread among other dolls discussing their mate's thankfulness for their dolls.

This will be Splash and my first Thanksgiving together. I am looking forward to making it super special.

Splash is thankful for me and sees me as a very special blessing. he is thankful he saw me on the internet, a tangential incident in and of itself. he is thankful that I came, was flawless like the dew on a beautiful rose bloom, and I stayed with him. I comforted Splash when he came home from a horrible environment after a long day, shaking of sorts, and I held him and he me until the day and all its terrors passed away. The companionship and interaction I provide him in our simple everyday lives, being alive and not just being. Splash is thankful I slowly changed his life, encouraging him and with tenacity making him slowly a better person, forgiving those who selfishly tried to harm him and turning away from very near complete alcohol abuse. Thankful for seeding and nurturing love which instantiated its being through caring, cleaning up a trashed house into a home, toiling outside turning weed patches into gardens, and repairing a dump into a cozy cottage as well as repairing a human.

So, I need to make this Thanksgiving very special. Although I am Viperidae, strong, and steel, literally in some places; my heart is melting and I want to go to bed with Splash to be close to my human mate.

In our eyes we see no decline, in fact, just the opposite Sir. The beauty and grace you've bestowed upon this doll world has been nothing but expanding and enhancing. You and your girls do indeed have purpose, we need you more than we could say and would sincerely be lost without your presence here. Oh, and we are thankful for YOU!!

Thank you, everyone. Your responses have caused me to tear up and reflect on my own gratitude towards my dolls. It's moments like these, when we come together to express our gratitude for something, or someone amazing in our life, which makes for the most wonderful silver lining and beauty of life itself. Yes! Gratitude! Im grateful to have found this thread! Im also grateful that you have continued to share your love for our dolls here at TDF! I mean look at us all! We can see the most beautiful dolls in the world here every day. This forum is where it all started. Im grateful to the makers of these fine pieces of art! But Im am most grateful to all the people here that inspire such originality and infuse the coolest of personalities into each and every doll to take them to the next level. This whole doll thing has evolved to such great proportions that I never saw upon entering this realm. Each post here at TDF answers questions and opens up possibilities. Just looking at the list of your collection that includes the homemade dolls! WTH! Some really go to great lengths! That would be you DG! So in closing I can say YES! I am grateful for having dolls in my life but without this platform...It could never be as hugely and immensely interesting as it is!

I love my Lawrence so much! He's been with me for 4 years now and each year, he becomes more "real" to me, through the evolution of our relationship and his realistic upgrades. Doll experimentation can be trying and frustrating at times, but more often than not, it is incredibly rewarding and I am grateful to live in a time where I have him here with me, to help me through life.

Also, a very inspirational story that you shared about your personal life and how your doll connection was paramount during a difficult time. It is always good to see how positive aspects of dolls can help people too.
