CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE
-------
Amalie had fun roaming the historical district of Philadelphia, with a tour inside Independence Hall. And some downtime in the fancy hotel room!
Independence Hall
Assembly Room where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were debated and signed. The only authentic furniture to remain is the assembly presider's chair, known as the Rising Sun, sits at the center back of the room. George Washington himself sat on it!
Site of Ben Franklin's Home
His home was actually raised in 1812. No image or record exists of his home looked. It could not be faithfully reproduced, so it was decided to build a memorial over the foundation instead. A frame represents it's probable outline and you can see the wells and foundation below in certain spots.
The B. Franklin Post Office
To honor Mr Franklin as the first Post Master General, a small post office is set up where you can send your mail from.
On the Stoop
Just a random historical marble stoop to chill on!
Are we there yet?
Amalie takes a rest in the arms of a Chinese Dragon on our walk through Philly's Chinatown District
Four Star Hotel
Resting up during our weekend music festival at a fancy downtown hotel. Amalie is tempted to call room service!
Thanks for joining in our adventure!!
Love, Amalie
