A belated Valentine's Day celebration

Since Valentine's Day fell on a busy and very long workday, and this weekend would be a 3-day holiday weekend (Heritage Day) in Nova Scotia, my beloved decided we should celebrate on the weekend when we would have more time to enjoy each other's company.

When I asked if she wanted a fancy meal prepared and to open a nice bottle of wine, she said ...
Of course not silly. You know I'm a low maintenance girl. Let's have some pizza and Pepsi. And after supper, we can watch the Daytona 500 together.

My kind of girl!



And for dessert, how about some Valentine's cupcakes. Mmmmm.



And we mustn't forget about a little treat for Mr. Bojangles, who has been a good little doggie patiently sitting next to his best buddy while she was enjoying her pizza. Let's see if we can find a cupcake for him.

Sorry for missing this beautiful shot until now, but is is excellent,
and Celia has seldom looked better. I really have fallen in love
with her choice of pets! Lots of photos of food popping up everywhere,

Yes, you noticed! Celia has new eye shadow. She had very good sleeping before our special day, and then I pampered her with a mini spa treatment. I cleaned her pretty face and nose, and did her makeup over with fresh lipstick, makeup powder and eye shadow. I am not very good at doing makeup, but she seemed pleased with my clumsy efforts.

Little heart on cupcake is hard plastic and we could not eat it. Although Mr. Bojangles did try.

Thank you. We had a very nice Easter holiday. Celia and I are both soooo ready for Spring. We had an especially stormy winter at the cabin, and are looking forward to nicer weather with calmer winds.

What a mess! Celia says that I will need to sharpen my axe and tune up the chainsaw ...
