Our new small doll..17”

Post by toonist »

Hi!
We have another new website..
Trouvailledolls.com
Which shows our new 17”/43cm silicone doll.
There is a whole bjd doll world out there... those of you who collect smaller dolls are well aware of it. I wanted to give it my own take...
These lovely dolls, which are crazy pose-able, are just miniaturized silicone dolls.
Made in platinum silicone, in my own style.
I am commissioning the finest dressmakers in the world to create outfits for them.
I am offering the simplified version...painted, with wig and glass eyes, for $645.
When the dresses and undies arrive I’ll offer a finished version as well.
This doll is a blast. Pose her on your table. She is in a world of her own.
So, check out the site...it’s just up starting today, so it’s still a bit rough... but you get the idea.
Hope everyone is happy and healthy...or, slightly drunk and just couldn’t care! Be well!!
Patrick

Super pretty.

Just a heads up the 1st 2 pics on Amelie's page are cropped weird cutting off her head in MS Edge win10x64.
Also, on the product list if you scroll Right you have about 5 placeholder "I'm a Product" billboards.

Yea, thanks for the heads up.
It’s a work in progress. I decided to go ahead and put it out there, rather than wait till I got everything perfect.
Having a site is a big step in legitimizing your product, it seems.
This is a new path for me and I’m glad you checked it out! Thanks!

Interesting concept. She's definitely cute, so I've gotta ask. I'm guessing the lady parts aren't 'usable' on such a tiny doll, right?

I hope so...it’s a unique doll for sure.
Her “parts” are just for looks...but she could surely wrap herself around you!
I was working on the site last night...fix one thing and screw up another... but, I’ll get it.
I already have a second head to mold for her. I’d like to do a few faerie heads for her as well.
Hope everyone is enjoying a nice weekend.
I’ll be putting a month long hold on new big doll orders until I’ve caught up.
I don’t need the pressure of new orders right now.
Supplies have been a bit slow coming in... I think the virus situation has messed with the supply chain... so, we move forward. Just a little more slowly.
It gave me time to work on this, which is a great pleasure.

Thanks!
I wanted to tell you about them but couldn’t remember your “ Justintime” name on the forum.
My memory for names is just shot.
Anyway, I appreciate the good word!

If these were 1/3 girls, 24 inch I’d be all over them, I already have a huge wardrobe

This was my question also. A 1/3 scaled version would've been very popular as that's essentially the most popular size for BJDs.

She's a hottie! A temptress Tinkerbelle, or a Femlin come to life (was either character your inspiration?).

Great work!

Hi,
I grew up with Disney and Tinkerbell...it’s in all my work. I focused on fantasy art figures for a long time.
This scale is quite a challenge. Most of the doll makers in this 1/4 scale are using z-brush to “ create” their figures and then having them 3-d printed.
I guess I’m not exactly pushing the envelope with hand sculpting /molding/and casting. But, the years I spent figuring out how to make lifesize dolls certainly paid off in how I go about making these. I’m commissioning amazing fabric artists to make beautiful corsets/undies/dresses for them.
I think I’ve got basic wigs figured out.
My next mini skeleton will have the upgrade of upgrades! ( no more breakable wire) I discovered a really cool material.
Anyway, the re-invention progresses! I think every ten years or so, I head off in a different direction. Just finished a new face for this body, and am molding it right now.
Be well!
Patrick
