THE WM FILES n°25: Hand Skeleton, a giant leap for dollkind!
This is a message from the top secret WM Files office.
for once, our secret agent did not consider it necessary to provide us with an explanation.
He just sent us the copy of a document someone left carelessly on a desk of WM's advertising department.
I think the image is self explanatory.

The hand skeleton is an option available starting from today. It is not part of the standard skeleton.Rock13 wrote:If my Hunter- currently in production- arrives with these
So any WM Doll that was produced before today will not have it.
I don't think this will be the case. But I wouldn't be surprised to see a "second hand" ( ) market emerging in a few years for these.Arthur1960 wrote:At last! I wonder if these would be available to retro fit into older dolls?

I don't know. But I will ask the guys at factory to make some more photos with the hand holding stuff. Thanks for the suggestion.Sidestep wrote:OH! YES!! Will these have much more gripping power?
For the finger movements we should get a video soon.

Re: THE WM FILES n°25: Hand Skeleton, a giant leap for dollk
Looks like the new skeleton has a clevis wrist joint so my skeleton should still work as a replacement when that one breaks, lol.
Not sure I understand the palm plate design though...
The metacarpal bones (wires?) in palm look pretty thin and fragile. These should be rigid and beefy like in an actual human hand and should be fixed to the palm plate and not bend. Most breakages occur at the palm plate/finger wire connection point so this needs to be strengthened.

Your hand skeletons are nothing short of revolutionary, MannequinFan, and I think the demand for them with remain healthy for years to come. BTW, did you happen to see my Hadleigh holding her antique clutch and cocktail with your brilliant upgrade?MannequinFan wrote:Hey, interesting news!
