What am I forgetting posting photos... HELP!

Ok... first of all, I have posted photos before and I never had a problem... but now I do... can someone tell me what am I doing wrong? What step am I forgetting?

Here are the steps I'm doing at the moment...

Step #1. Login.

Step #2. Go to Board Index.

Step #3. Select Dolls in General - Members Only.

Step #4. Select New Topic.

Step #5. Fill in Subject Line with new topic.

Step #6. Enter text in text box... like I'm doing now...

Step #7. Click attachments.

Step #8 Click add files.

Step #9. Select File. Please note, file are no larger than 3.2 MB.

Step #10 Select Preview.

At step #10 my attachments disappear... the text remains but the attachments are gone... before I was able to view the attachments within the text box before hitting the submit button.
Can someone tell me what am I doing wrong or forgetting altogether... again, thanks in advance.

After step #9, you must "place in line" in your text!

(The picture will appear where the cursor is!)

I'm sorry, but my many thanks appears to be premature... guess what! See where above you have pointed to and circled in red a box that says "Place in line" Next to a "Delete file" box?
I don't have that. I only have the "Delete File" box.
How can that be?
I do have on the far right where you see the status column, a thumbs UP icon and the size IS filled in with the size of the file indicating that the file was downloaded.
Again, thanks in advance for any insight you can give me.

I'm far from an expert (and young!

) myself but I think it's because your cursor is not in the dialog box in step 5 (see photos). I made you some pictures with all the steps.

Hopefully it will work! (...and let me know if it works!)

That did not work... again let me reiterate directly above you have the "Place Inline" box circled. And again let me point out, that I do not have that box on my screen!

You must wait for the loading bar to complete before you get the "place inline" box.
If your pictures are too big they won't never load .
Or if there is something preventing your files from transferring. That's all I got at this time lol

I moved this from Dolls in General into the help forum and locked your new thread. We need just one.

Please tell us the exact file name including extension and the file size.

OK...Anastasia: Yes, I do wait for the loading bar to complete and then theres the thumbs up indicating that the process has been completed. The file size is 2.9 MB.

To Tsali... I tried down loading 4 different files but then in frustration I just tried downloading one file with no success, I'm not a computer geek so I hope I can supply you with the information you are asking for:

File Name: #111 w/p253 front.JPG

Then underneath that is: 3,024x4,032

Like I said in previous posts, I had posted photos here at least a half a dozen times in the past as I've only been on the site for a several months... but I'm not here everyday. Practice makes perfect I guess and I don't practice enough?

Not sure if this is relevant, I'm using a Mac desktop, my software is recent as the Mac is only several months old, but I use Google Chrome as a search engine.

That filename looks a little crazy.
Please replace the "/" in your filename with "-" or "_" (everything without the quotes).
If that doesn't help rename to just alphanumeric characters. That means A-Z, a-z, 0-9 and maybe - and _. There is more allowed but let's keep ist simple.

AH! OK! Thank you! I didn't realize that the forward slash could screw things up! Thank you! So the pound sign, dashes and underscores can be used in file names but not slashes?
