Love that Arachne really seems to be getting into the music!

It's weird how she seems to take a liking to some of the things that I like... lol. It is cannon that she loves the Nedeirra, a drow party typically attended by young drow where they dance endlessly to fast-paced beats until they collapse of exhaustion or make a mistake.

none of the joy. The drow had forgotten that emotion. But they understood pleasure, and they would
pursue it wildly in an attempt to fill the unrecognized void in their elven souls.

The tempo of the music quickened, and over the ragged, syncopated rhythm of the drums the flutes
wailed and soared in eerie melody. Liriel twirled and leaped in time to the music, and her body
dipped and swayed as she beckoned to the waiting drow. Then, with a sudden flash of magical fire,
the dark dancer was outlined in faerie fire of purest white. That was the signal all had awaited, and
the other drow poured onto the dance floor.

Even in dance, the dark elves competed with each other. Some used their natural ability to levitate
to perform intricate soaring leaps. Others shunned acrobatics and went right to seduction, trying to
draw as many greedy eyes as possible with their writhing, sensuous movements. Yet regardless of
style, all the drow listened carefully as they danced; within the intricate music were hidden clues that
told what was to come. The rhythm was uneven, with the strong beats coming unexpectedly, almost
randomly. Those who failed to read the music aright were in danger of missing a beat. Any drow who
misstepped was immediately lined in faerie fire by one of the wizards who encircled the dance
floor and watched intently as the dark elves whirled and leaped and stomped. These dancers had to
leave the floor to a chorus of barbed comments and mocking laughter. But their fun was not entirely
ruined, for all remained on the sidelines to place bets concerning who might next follow them.
On and on went the music, with few of the skilled drow missing the complex steps. Ebony faces
shone with sweat, and some of the dancers began to discard outer garments. Sometimes a nedeirra
continued until many of the dancers dropped from exhaustion.

I believe this is the last photo to share from this contest: "Sunglasses!" It's not the first time I've photographed Arachne in shades. While she'd gotten used to the light of the surface the drow are a subterranean race who are not fond of the brightness of the sun. This might be my favorite so far. I love how the light caught her eyes. They're so pretty!

Did those eyes come with her or are they a Third Party set? (EasyEyes?)

Those are her original eyes.

I'm terrible at remembering to process photos...

My family got together for Christmas a week late. Since my family is pretty awesome, Arachne was involved in the celebrations too.

My sister and her husband came over to my place Arachne's House to hang out and play games. Arachne joined us for that.

It took my Brother in Law most of the day, but he noticed that the True North Clan was spying on us as we enjoyed ourselves...

The next day it was out to my parent's place for the day. Christmas dinner: Nachos. Far better than turkey! Arachne of course came along.

Makes sense to me that they wouldn’t spot the True North Clan. After all, they are adept at hiding from Arachne!

Great to see your family enjoying your dolls! I hope to get some more “real” humans in my life who are comfortable around mine. Might be tough tho…

I think I might make it a tradition, but I'll need to get more creative with my hiding locations because I used most of the good ones in the kitchen! I hid the whole clan, but that's going to become a task when it starts expanding! I feel like we'll be over a dozen by the end of the year.

Yes, a large number of anything can be intimidating! Make sure to impress upon them that they're non-violent and have been fed recently!

Glad to hear it! I'm actually surprised that this thread is so popular. It gets more views than her story thread, based on the views of the photos. Her story is just one part of the adventure of doll ownership for me, this thread lets me share the rest of it.
