The Introduction

It is with great pleasure that I introduce my newest Gal Kimber Henry whom is one of two doll models available under the KimberDoll ODM Label.

I first introduced Kimber to the forum here viewtopic.php?f=489&t=116191

There are two models available through Kimber doll.

The Kimberdoll full size (KD FS is stamped on the box as model number)

and The KimberDoll Mini (I am guessing this is KD MN).

This review is on the Kimberdoll full size model I received ONLY, so I can not comment on the mini (please direct questions for the mini to the website or post in the Kimber doll topic)

So what is an ODM, so by TDF classification,

Original Design Manufacturer (ODM): The ODM must own the Intellectual Property Rights for the doll which includes both outer cast body and skeleton as a whole. The product can be contracted to be built by any TDF recognized manufacturer. An ODM who uses a dedicated sales website separate from their manufacture website, can arrange to have two links below their banner if they prefer not to have a separate vendor listing for their store. Please note in this case the store can only promote and sell the ODM's own brands. An ODM requires a separate website to support their brand. It is not allowed to promote or offer any other brands. So they would have to set up a website dedicated to their brand. And one to support their multi-brand store.

Kimber Doll owns the IP to the head and body combination that is sourced through a parent company label that is well know in the Chinese Doll Industry.

This company primarily sources its bodies and has heads made under contract by a very well known factory facilities organization (that is probably the 2nd largest TPE blend and now silicone doll maker in Asia, and has a facility based in Shenzhen as well as Dongguan).

Skin Material: Proprietary Flesh Compound (TPE customized blend unique to this model body and head)

Internal Textures: Varying textures and ribbed features noted.
Odor: Very mild, not like the traditional TPE diesel smell at all, very slightly floral and pleasantly mildly aromatic like a very mild perfume, and totally undetectable after about two weeks

So that is the intro done, so now onto the procurement process. I will lock the topic until I complete my full review, and then unlock for comments on completion. I welcome feedback accordingly.

Procurement

So, when like many, I was quite surprised about an affordable price scaled doll submitting their credentials, and undertaking the rigors of the TDF vetting process, especially when it is a label that literally came to be under my nose, as an Australian Based Label,

I was like

, how did I miss that

, no way they could be made here for that cost, so being the" local man on the land", I figured I better investigate further, and opened a dialogue with the company as a regular Joe customer.

Now through the course of my many in depth inquiries with KD Aust management, it became evident that the company was dealing with a local enthusiast and it did not take long for the connections to line up the dots, and, at all stages the correspondence was precise and clear, to the point whereby, I agreed to take on A full scale model, and I started to become rather excited about the potential for a recognized AU based label, noting the issues, many AU based importers have with ABF Customs here, and their fat sheriff ridiculous ransom hold fee demands.

One thing I will add, the correspondence with the main man , Fletcher at the AUS base of operations, has always been professional detailed, and he has shown that he will take on advise as he evolves the brand name, and, also that initially was not quite aware of the forum intractability in regards to promotion of product.

This has now been clarified, and KD will post here regularly, but understand that with only two models (vs other makers hundreds) it is difficult to post daily news updates, but KD will regularly check for posts were information or further clarification is required.

Now on initial order agreement, I was advised that the current stock was out, and a new shipment was due in from China with the month. KD caveats this in their delivery terms and conditions, and I was kept up to date on shipment status regularly (in fact, the corro chain via email is well over 87 messages back and forth),

I received these images of the current April build that was due on the upcoming shipment (my order) from Fletcher.

I was advised when my order had arrived in AUST, cleared AU customs, when she arrived at the QLD facility, and on dispatch that same day, and she literally arrived over night, the next day was like

"where did you come from?", despite the tracking app info was accuracy, with email notifications at various checkpoints.

Arrival and Unpacking

Ok, so this is always fun at Anung's, with the battle between Dollies and Guitars raging for territory, I was able to find some space in no mans land to unbox, and after negotiations with Batts my 12 string, he agreed to give up couch space to Kimber for a kiss.

Like I mentioned, I was well pleased at how fast the turnaround was from dispatch from facility to my address, it was overnight.

Box arrival is shown in above post, with referenced model number KD FS on the label.

The contents are well packed as shown and yes she has her white blanket (like these things are 20 bux on eBay these days in this size) and we all love the blanky!

We now remove and evaluate her accessory pack, so in this case the standard Kimber model wig and the conventional packets of a small kigerie gift out fit, the package of the douse, the gloves, a comb (these are great for wig styling)and a USB warmer rod.

Next we remove the air packet padding and top foam layer to show here wrapped in blanky, with her possessions and accessories. Her hands are protective foam wrapped, as is her head, where foam also surrounds the head bagging.

Now lets evaluate the head connector, nothing new, just old school reliable M16 thread tube in well machined order with good thread (tips from me, always give these a coat of Vaseline prior to installation, and wear gloves or it gets slippery)

Unpacking continued

So while some of you know I am a bigger bloke, well, the miles have racked up and while I still have some Hellboy super strength, my own chassis and articulations have wear and tare, so this is the technique i use (and recommend for best ergonomics and safely for you and Dolly).

I advise, squat using knees bent back straight, and clasp the head end of the carton (so close the top flaps), then lift to the upright position, before pivoting the carton against a table, bench or wall, so the cartoon is slightly rear tiled (say 80 to 85 degrees from the floor plane).

In this case I had Pearl and her muscles to assist if required, but not needed. This then gives you a stable cartoon to work with to release dolly safely.

So we open the front flaps again.

We then set up her spot on her designated couch, using blanky, as her protection from any staining from coach color, or oil sweat into the couch (but footnote, she is not showing sweating as older tpe based dolls have, so definitely an improvement in that custom formulation blend)

next is negotiations with the western Tar army for clear passage to your assembly area (I know right, and that's just a quarter of them

, still got the eastern, northern and southern Tar armies surrounding the dolly realm with the treat of great tunes and power metal

)

so now we got clear passage we can carefully, bend the knees, place dollies arms around you in embrace, clasp her nice soft buttocks for grip and commence slow and steady relocation.

She is not that heavy actually, body only, Indeed 28 kg for body weight is an accurate estimate.

Now, the Kimber's in production at this time do NOT have standing option (but this is a space I am am discussing with the AU side of the label for future development as an option at small fee), so you need to ensure you leave her foot protection on until she is seated for further assembly. (discussed next post)

Before going onto the next step (and I got here to her couch now)

Lets review the packing protection. Pretty good at or slightly above standard for a TP style doll brand, not flashy, but efficient and effective.

So pretty standard, and the additional neck protection is notable, for idiot handlers who do not look at arrows on cartons, thus no shortcuts and packing material protection, and protection were needed, and for carton size, OK, her is comparison on top of the Wm 156 B cup cartoon up on the drum deck.

So yes, a more petite Carton for similar height doll, but those that know Kitty my Wm 156 B cup, know she is a Tank, with legs worthy of Godzilla status!

Assembly

Ok, we have got our dolly to an ergonomic area, were we can install her head.

But first lets finish removing her foot protection, so point the toes downwards, and gently cut the packing tape, then these simply right slide off.

Now this is noteworthy, it is great to see the positioning of the neck arbor perfectly central and concentric, the thread into the goose neck is also in great order and well machine cut.

You may note, this is the time, I apply Vaseline to the neck threads, and also a very light smear onto the neck flesh contacts points (and yes this has soaked in well), but this prevents binding and flesh bunch when rotating the head gently clockwise into position.

I install the tread into head and wind up finger tight flush, then rotate head onto the neck gently,works for me, but you may prefer the reverse order, but I will note that when the head winds to the bind, she is facing ideally front, so great thread cutting and length.

Now just time to put her wig on, not going into that, but the second notch in for the adjusters binds well. I used a custom wig, while awaiting her ordered wig from eBay for her Kimber personality.

Construction

Ok, Kimber as at the April batch, is definitely a Thermoplastics derivative blend but as discussed does not have the usual characteristics of what would consider the regular formulation of TPE/R that I have experienced with my other TPE gals in the gang.

She has a pleasant floral odor, that was very mild and faded almost totally within two weeks, it is no longer noticeable.

The flesh is very soft, not extremely, like marshmallow is, but softer than the WM dolls I have, and most of the Junying made dolls.

The skin texture is smoother than all of my TPE dolls, and mildly opaque (reminiscent of the recent Iron tech formulation), so far no noticeable leeching or sweating has been visible, and Vaseline absorption was slower than on other TPE based models I have.

The skin tone apart from the very light opaqueness is the generic natural light shade range we see many labels use in this discrimination of tone, but I would not assess as white, but definitely not a traditional wheat or light tan tone.

The sculpt is nice and reminiscent of the JY 2017 158 model

She is less buff than my other Amazons, and quite petite, but the geometry of her attributes and her symmetry is well matched.

The joints are firm, but not hard, and articulate smoothly, and she holds poses well.

OK, not hinged wrists, and thin finger wires, but reasonably standard for the generic item with these dolls.

the movement planes are as follows. (click to enlarge)

the chassis appears to be the default standard used by many parent factory sites.

but I can not say if it is Aluminum or stainless tube, as I am not going to cut her up to find out, but from feel, the chassis feels consistent with the image shown in construct, but not the standing foot plate, and the torso is foam filled, standard for many tpe models for weight reduction.

So lets discuss her parts placement, sure, well her boobs are in the right spot but they are solid and not hollow, but are not advertised as hollow, so no issue no need to discuss further, apart from the nipples and aureola are small and generic, custom is not an option, but that is the thing, she is a basic budget no frills doll, and made actually very well, and has exceeded my expectations.

So her vaginal cavity, Ok the labia is tiny and detailed, and placed slightly forward bias for favoring front liaison.

The insertion angle is reasonably generic with both this line and the other tpe gals I have, but you do not need to be Robin Hood to nail the bullseye here.

She is tight as a drum, so get the good Japanese super slippery water based lube (this is an inbuilt, no insert option is available).

and in comparison for the playground and the city under infrastructure

the back door is very basic and remains untrialed.

Trial limitations were very limited, due to She devil supervision, ensuring intimacy was only for review research purposes, but I can say vaginal access is easily achieved from a missionary front, cowgirl front, and no issues on access from behind in the doggy style or reverse cowgirl applications.

Now on commissioning, I always Vaseline the groins , armpits and cavities (for conditioning and mold prevention) and absorption (if slower ) was noted.

that said, she is a tight dolly, and has not shown any sign of tearing from heavy but gentle loading. That said,any tpe doll if thrashed by Thor's hammer will have issues in this area, so I would not recommend this doll if you are Thor (or a 10 inch plus whammer hammer),

Now, the minor barium traces, are most likely are residual trace from the isotopes injected into the material for X ray and spectra-graphic analysis..we used to get those minor but below tolerance trace elements bias when sending away gas turbine components and gun breach parts away for NDT, and would often get results with trace barium residual elements, but these are far below the lower tolerance level, and not an exposure risk at all at these levels, no more than any other toy or dolly one buys of the shop shelf.

So that covers these basics for now, I will add in anything I miss later, so the next post will discuss and review...basically Kimber and open the topic to feild questions.

Conclusions

So I could discuss many minor aspects of the label and the dolls progression but for now will refer readers to the Kimber doll blog and news https://kimberdoll.com.au/blogs/news

and now that I am liaising regularly with KimberDoll AU , I expect they will be dropping by TDF more regularly, as initially the label was subject to a lot of skepticism on sites various, were most concerns were certainly not relevant or substantiated.

NOW CAVEAT TIME

In no way do own any stake or Holdings in Kimberdoll or its affiliated parent contract label. I am a Kimberdoll client customer just like the rest of you.

Now that is out the way, I trust you enjoyed the review, and I can certainly say that for the price range, this model has exceeded my expectations.

Now some think of dolls as mere sex toys, other companion or photo models, and Kimber can achieve these roles, but she will need decent foot ware and support, she is not designed for standing.

She is a little cutie.

Now I am going to decline the conventional out of ten ratings, its apples and oranges, but for value for money at current price point, well I would go for 10, as she is a doll with 70% the attributes and capabilities of the top of the line fully optioned models for 30% of the cost..just an observation and mathematics using the WM dolls pricing standards as the rate and pricing bench mark.

Topic is now open to field relevant and fair questions regarding the product and service of Kimberdoll and further discussion, but I will not discuss commercial in confidence, TDF vetting policies, staff privileged information or company business models and marketing strategies.

These kind of posts would be considered as OFF topic.

Nice... Makes me feel better about the oder. I'm struggling to find we're to hide it and realise that the attic is not the right temperature for storage.

So I gotta ask.. Is kimber fun.

Does the pictures do the actual skin tone justice. I read somewhere that it is a little tanned compared to the website

Thanks Virgo, for now, as an ODM KD only has the two appearance patents I am aware of.

I would happily help them look to hold IP on a taller model, but then weight comes into play, even with current tech advances.

Sure Serv, Ok, I wold say slight tan, hence the white blanket contrast for comparison, but always, light here is the biggest challenge to my meager photo talents, even with the good camera.

As for fun, sure, she would be, but I had a very strict supervisor providing oversight into my research.

and to me as a doll owner, my gals are companions more so than lovers, (except the wild red one)

and is Kimber a 50 grand custom Platinum silicone realdoll, no, she is far from it, but for her price range, I would say, market changing and comparable to dolls of similar linage.

So yes, I would say, slightly darker than the website and factory halogen lighting images, and this one is the best actual tone capture...

I Have not tested her that far yet Mav, but will advise on occasion when I do so, as dolly gymnastics is as much of a workout for the owner as it is for dolly.

I'm delighted to see a real good doll for an entry level capable of bringing more people into doll enthusiasms as well as the shortcomings of wire wrists justifying people going upmarket to other brands in due course.

From your review I didn't pick up on whether ankles are hinged or wired?

She's likely to be bedridden but that's really what most entry-level customers are likely to be looking for anyway.
