Jessica Drake
Since then, I've had a lot of trouble with my back and haven't moved Jessica around a lot nor photographed her.
I was thinking of posting an ad in the buy & sell but I would really like to pass her onto someone who wants her as a collector's item and not some cheap piece of silicone for a newbie to destroy.
What should I do?

True, but I guess that's the whole trick, to find someone like me.optical delusion wrote:unless you can find someone directly who is a doll collector then maybe "sell" her. this way you would not be approached by people looking for a throw away starter doll. then when you find someone willing to pay for her you can give her to them
I will just have to deal with this sad future. Like many experiences, only I myself will feel it.Dollpimp2018 wrote:I don’t think it will be possible for you to ensure the welfare of the doll once it leaves your hands. Just sell her, and the new owner will decide her fate

Re: Jessica Drake
Did'nt you get her from Midiman?
Or is my memory wrong,....
I would contact Midiman and let him know what you want to do as he may be able to help you find a good home for her knowing her status as the first jesica drake.
I have one of her sisters myself so I know what sort of careful caretaker you will be looking for.
I am sorry to hear you will not be able to enjoy her anymore.
I do hope it dos'nt come to having to sell her on the open market.

Yes you are correct. I've sent him a pm but he hasn't responded for 2 weeks. The pm shows that it hasn't been opened.Playtime wrote:Did'nt you get her from Midiman?

I'll have to find his email but I'm not sure if that has changed as well.
I remember that he told me about 2 other people that were interested in her.
Exactly! It's unfortunate that my back keeps giving out and my plans for a bigger house fell through.Playtime wrote:I have one of her sisters myself so I know what sort of careful caretaker you will be looking for.

Age is a humbling experience.

Re: Jessica Drake
Well after I responded I sent Midi a PM myself.
I have noticed he isn't around as much as he used to be but I do see him logged in from time to time.

I am sorry to hear that your back problems have such an impact on you.Agalmato wrote:What should I do?
Unless you know someone personally who would buy the doll, then I think an ad on the Sales sub-forum is the only option. You could keep the price up to avoid cheapskate doll f*ckers as buyers and you could avoid selling to someone who has posted only very little or who cannot provide photographic evidence that he is a collector. Even if you post an ad in the Sales section this does not mean that you sell Jessica to everybody. You could consider it as an invitation to a buyer's interview, similar to a job interview. Putting up an ad does not necessarily mean giving up control over the question who will be allowed to give her a new home.
All the best

True, I have been pm-ing some senior members here in the hopes of assessing if there's any interest in giving her a good home. I agree that even if someone offers what I ask for, I don't have to sell her to them when I've seen that the person may have abused some other doll.Hagen of Tronje wrote:

I am sorry to hear this.
You would think an owner of the site would be around more.
