Which UV light is it?

Also, isn't UV light bad for TPE as it is thermoplastics and plastic+UV is a bad mix?

Tpe is a physical mix of polymers (usually a plastic and a rubber), there is also an oil component and is referred to as a thermoplastic

From the Wiki link:
Aramid rope must be shielded with a sheath of thermoplastic if it is to retain its strength
A session of 20 minutes exposure to UVC would have little effect other than to kill germs

Greetings!

Iam a new doll owner and a new member of The Doll Forum.

I recently baught my first doll just a few days ago and its still in manufactring.The doll is a WM doll and Iam interested in seeing if I could take part in this offer. This type of easy cleaning system looks amazing and something that would make the cleaning routine a breeze.

Just plaining the devils advocate: You should add a warning about the UV radiation, and that UV disinfection must not be invoked while the cleaning device is not inside the doll. EU customs are a bit picky about security lately.

Other than that, it is a brilliant idea to have the cleaning procedure made automatic. So, no more excuse to leave "her" dirty

UV used for sterilization is UVC. UVA and UVB are not very efficient.

You are correct, in principle, UVC is not very good for any "plastic". But you are not exposing the doll to UV radiation for hours every day. Yes, the TPE will suffer a little, but not really much. I doubt that any noticeable damage will result from the UV treatment during the lifetime of a doll. The daily wear and tear on your doll from handling her is much higher, and a vaseline rub on the ladies parts every few weeks may also help a lot.

I wish the video would have detailed the cleaning process fully. Do you need two buckets as part of the process? One for clean water and a discharge bucket? Even if I don't get one for free, I'd be interested in getting this device once full details (and performance reviews) are available.
