Thanks 4891d! You must’ve been posting right when I was…
Here’s another bonus photo to start off the new page!
I really should’ve swapped lenses for this shot, but as I said… I was rushing to get to work. I might have to reconsider using my zoom lens for these kind of quick trips.

Re: In a Forest of Tiny Minxes
Ha! It’s just that my 27mm “pancake” lens distorts Cedar when I get closer… and I’m not gonna crop the photo. I might have come up with solution tho… see below…
I hope it does! I think the up and down weather has really disturbed the flowering trees around here. There’s some that I’ve only seen flowers on for a week!
Thanks Victor! Here’s one more closer photo of Cedar on the mystery tree…
I’ve gotten pretty good at “stealing moments” in the Forest with Cedar… but there’s room for improvement.
Some may recall, I’ve been trying to come up with a “pocket” doll to have always with me and shoot pics out and about with my phone. Unfortunately, I’ve just about given up on that project. While I have great fun with Bisboo and Zimzoo, the tiny 1/12 dolls are just too small to photograph easily and satisfyingly in the Forest. I have much more FUN photographing my 1/6 Luvs!
Overall, heading out with Cedar doesn’t take much planning… and she certainly isn’t a burden! Keeping her… and my secondary Fuji camera… in the car with me on all my daily travels is really quite easy. On those occasions when we have the day to spend, and big tales to tell, packing a proper camera bag will be the right choice. But I think I’m gonna start carrying a fast and lean setup with me all the time.
Maybe we’ll give it a try tomorrow!

Re: In a Forest of Tiny Minxes
Thanks pal! You know how much Cedar likes to show off her curves…
Observant Cedar enthusiasts may recognize the central jewel of her new outfit… I gave it to her last Fall!
I’ve been sitting on this piece with the intention of making something new for her this Spring. Well, as has been the case lately, inspiration and creation happened in a flash! I sat down at my Tinkering bench with determination, grabbed a little of this and that and voila… her Blossom outfit was born!
Thanks for stopping by everyone! With a little luck, we’ll stop for some quick pics after work today!

Re: In a Forest of Tiny Minxes
Well, this quick bite of some Forest time wasn’t a complete fail… but close.
“Ugh! Are they gone yet???”
I attempted to steal a few moments with Cedar on my way home from work today… and test out my new “fast” Minx GO system.
But the Gardens were packed with people… and worse, half of them were children. Cedar doesn’t like children…
It was beautiful and sunny today with very Springlike temperatures. I should’ve known better than to head to these Gardens right after school let out. They are surrounded by private schools. Finding any kind of seclusion just wasn’t possible today.
But maybe that is why this was a perfect test of the new system… because despite the near constant interruptions, I was able to quickly and easily maneuver Cedar in and out of view. I am gonna call the outing a success, since I managed to get a couple of photos!
“Too many noisy short Hoomans… I’m outta here!”
Thats alright Luv… because I never was supposed to be here today anyway.
Ever since my stroke a few years ago, my energy levels each day start to plummet in the middle of the afternoon. Usually, by 5pm… I’m pretty much done for the day. It’s some weird combination of lingering issues from the stroke combined with my autoimmune disorder. My doctors just shrug and have no answers.
Typically, after a full day at work, by the time I get home I’ve got little energy left to play with the Minxes. What I did today is something I hope to work into my regular routine. On those days when I leave work with a little bit of energy left in my gas tank, I want to head straight to the Forest for some FUN!
Because even 10 minutes of Giggle time is better than none!
Re: In a Forest of Tiny Minxes
We will go into the woods around here where NO ONE is ..
Can take time setting up shots and maybe do a fun collaboration with Cedar and Sabrina..

Re: In a Forest of Tiny Minxes
Looking forward to it! You know, yesterday was a lot like that overlook we stopped at last summer. Just when the coast was clear, more people walked up!
She certainly brings the FUN! I ended up wandering around the Gardens for most of an hour. Plenty of baby leaves and new growth popping out. It was pretty… and made me want to get back again soon. But in the early morning with no Hoomans around!
Not really a bonus pic… but at least Cedar’s in it!
Uhhh… I’m pretty much an awful selfie photographer… lol.
I wanted to shoot a pic of Cedar with my new “fast” Minx GO bag… it took about 10 attempts… Ha!
This little blue pouch is a removable pocket from one of my bicycle panniers. It was designed to be a fanny pack you could pull off the main bag for quick trips away from your bike. When I traveled by bicycle, I used this pouch as my wallet pocket. This bag has probably been in my possession for 25 years now. It’s unlikely I’ll ever use it again for its intended purpose.
But it’s perfectly Minx sized!
I’ve struggled to find a bag that is long, narrow and simple to carry the little Luvs in. With the end of coat season approaching, I know I won’t have any convenient big pockets either. This was the primary reason I was spending so much time trying to develop a 1/12 pocket doll.
Yesterday, my new GO bag worked far better than I anticipated. Not only was it effortless to carry, but once Cedar jumped into action, the bag gave me an easy and quick place to stow her travel blanket… ready for instant deployment should pesky Hoomans appear. I suspect this little bag will become my new favorite piece of kit!
Thanks for stopping in!
Re: In a Forest of Tiny Minxes
I currently do not have anything decided to use to carry around Sabrina lol.
I guess I should start thinking about this ...
What camera is that?
Did you get a leather case for your Fuji or is that a different camera?
I am gonna get a nice leather half case like that for the old Olympus ..
That little camera is sooooooo great if you want something small that don't get in the way
or draw tons of attention ..
And for a tiny camera it takes pretty nice photos too .
I will probably end up using it this summer if you come to visit ..
As much as I love using my larger cameras I find the smaller sized cameras are just nicer when you are
walking around in the woods for hours lol..
Nothing sucks worse then lugging a huge heavy camera around in the woods for hours lol.
It is probably one of the reasons you like your XT-1 so much as not only does it take great photos it also
is not very big and not a burden to carry around in the woods..
