Powdering Aid
It has hundreds of little microfiber "villi" on it that do a great job of evenly applying powder. Much like the giant puffs Gam-gam used years ago. The villi retain some of the powder as you smooth, pat, and buff it on, so you use and waste less. With that, if dolly needs an occasional touch up, a little pat and you're good to go. JUST BE SURE TO RUN IT THROUGH THE WASH CYCLE FIRST! I took mine right out of the packaging and used it on Sandra, and she was not too pleased with all the blue lint I left all over her body. She and I got in the shower and I made it all better.
Hope this helps!

off, for the other reason that the powder gets on the clothes and makes a mess.
Gee, I've never tried "in the shower"

That seems like the best thing to me. It’s specifically designed for that purpose kinda.Ekkehard wrote:For powdering my doll I use a makeup brush.

For powdering my dolls I have recently found that using my hands first...
and the wiping down gently with a soft 'cotton' cloth or towel works wonders.
Great for photos. Also, yes, a make-up brush is a necessity for the face.
Especially around the eyes. I use an all natural bristle Angled Blush Brush.
Wonderful!
Cheers!

This has been bothering me for a while and I'd like to clear it up.MrCurious wrote: Wow Dude... Awesome Gallery! Both Guitars and Jessie. I too fell in love with Miss July! I realize it's been a long time and probably long forgotten but I have to do this...
When I first joined I had this avatar: Those are not my guitars and I apologize for misleading anyone. (The doll is Jessie, my Boytoy.)
I am sorry that I did not reply to MrCurious' post. I was still a Newbie and embarrassed.
That avatar was created for me, very kindly, by Bianca and I appreciated the help.
Soon after that, I changed it to what you see now.
This guitar is mine.
It's a Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul SG , an exact, hand made copy of the original 1964 SG.
Thank you.

Meso has the right idea.
Please recall my first post as a Newbie:
I have been powdering silicone dolls for a long time. Jenny for over 6 years!Guitar Boy wrote:Hey guys! This is my first post so bear with me on this OK?

I have tried multiple methods but none as complicated as what I'm reading in this topic.
I've had my best success by hanging the doll from her neck hook in a doorway, or from the ceiling, and using the procedure I outlined in that post (above).
I either put some powder on my hand or on the doll itself, depending on the area of her body that I am working on.
I use my hands because it gives you a way to really get great coverage and consistency.
You can rub it in and get between the fingers and toes... and it feels good too!
The soft cotton cloth 'wipe down' removes the excess powder residue and makes her skin super soft and smooth.
If done carefully, very little falls to the floor or stays in the air.
Obviously you do her neck first and work down to her toes.
I do her face while she's lying in bed. It's much easier to see what you're doing and get a nice result.
I last did Jenny this past Sunday morning. Total time for a full cleaning with 91% alcohol and powdering was about 1 hour.
Good luck.
