Ginger's Pose of the Day

Thought I'd do a little "Pose of the Day" thingie for Ginger. This will last as long as my imagination (and Ginger's outfits!) hold up. And no promises about regularity, despite the "of the Day" in the title!

Anyway, that being said, here's what we came up with today:

Well, you're off to a good start, dave! (I'll go ahead and call you dave.)

One of the best things of being a doll owner is exploring her pose-ability: trying to make her pose look natural, expressive, sexy, etc. In the case of a Teddy Babe, doing so will also decrease the stiffness of her stuffing, eventually making her more flexible. (wink-wink, nudge-nudge)

You can also throw in a household prop or two sometime, like a blanket, pillow, bathrobe, kitchenware, handgun, cooperative pet...

And if you haven't already, you should check out the albums of KingTut and mindvampire for some great TB posing ideas.

Well, Ginger got some packages over the weekend, and I decided to venture into the local Goodwill shop. As you may have seen elsewhere, Ginger had some surgery over the weekend, too (not sure what the technical term would be... an adapustomy?), and I wanted her to have some presents waiting for her when she was done. Never underestimate the power of a present to make one feel better! She made it through just fine, and is looking better than ever!

But, as is often the case, she was feeling a bit pensive, post-operatively, today. I guess these things make us all contemplate our own mortality (or, in her case, dolltality?). Today's pose tries to capture that. The complete gallery can be found here. A preview is below, to whet your appetite:

Great shot!

Loved the lighting on that one - it really creates an atmospheric vibe.

Oh and also the (shirt from Miss Selfridge, skirt model's own) is very useful too!

Just a (probably not particularly funny) joke/play on words, sort of a rewriting of the old joke - "What do you call a female-to-male sex change operation? An adadiktomy!" (for anyone not familiar with English medical phraseology, the "tomy" is pronounced "tuh mee", as if you were saying "to me"). Anyway - any time you need to explain a joke that much - that's your clue the joke ain't funny. Sorry.

After yesterday's photo shoot, Ginger was starting to think that the folks here might be getting the wrong idea about her. She asked me to help her emphasize her classy side, today, so that's what we tried to do. Today's pose:

And a short gallery as well. Worth checking out, in my opinion!
