Man I respect the work you have put into Holly and it shows. You will not see too many dolls that are old tin a decade and older looking that good in new pics. A small group for sure. Everhard has his Rebecca that is over 10 years old already and she looks good too. Keep up the good care Dood.
The truth is like a lion. You don't have to defend it. Let it loose. It will defend itself.
Hi guys
I emailed Abbys today to see if it is poseable to put a neck bolt in Holly
not shure if this is a good idea or not but I would realy like to see her stand
sence I have had her I have to roll her around on the floor to dress her. It
would be so cool to have to have her stand so I can dress her. Sence I have
had her I do not get to see her cute butt becouse she is all ways sitting in
her pillow. It would be sweet to see her butt and to take a few photos
of her standing . So what do you guys think is this a bad Idea?

The idea is great, but I fear it cannot be done. Doubtless Abyss Creations will give you the real word.
However, I believe that dolls made prior to the neck bolt do not have the tensile strength in the silicone/foam join at the chest to withstand hanging up.
My Rebecca, made in 2000, started to tear at the chest level just from me pulling her back (and up a bit) in her chair by holding her under her armpits. (That was in about 2007 I think.) You can still see the scar on the right side of her chest where the hole was. That is where I put the glue in. I now only lift her from below so she is always under compression (or lying down).
I wouldn't recommend the neck bolt unless you replace the entire central pvc pipe with a metal pipe (either aluminum or steel) from the neck all the way down to where the hips connect. Our older dollies don't have the same foam cores that the newer ones have, so their legs and torsos are much heavier and could crack the pvc if you suspend it from a neck bolt. I've never tried it, but it sounds like a possible conclusion (hopefully not) if attempted. Keep us posted as to what Abyss says about it.

Hmm, I thought that silicone gel cured to a gel state?
Did it not cure?
You might have to suck out the uncured gel and repair the tear
then fill it back up with gel..
Dam that sucks you have been doing such great work with her too..
I love how great that doll has turned out..
Let me know what you figure out..
Maybe you should contact Abyss and see what they say to do with such
a problem..
Im sorry to hear that happened ..
I have been thinking about how id repair something like that..
I have an idea..
Not the best idea but might be the only idea..
I was thinking what if you put a few staples on the rip with yarn
tied to them and pull open the tear and use a second tack or staple
on the other end of the yarn to hold open the tear..
Let it sit a few days and see if the gel sets up a bit in the air..
Maybe sprits a bit of water on it to help it cure..
I heard that water helps silicone cure not sure if this is true..
But if you can get the silicone gel to even slightly glaze over
you could then take some standard GE silicone and smear a thin layer
on the inside of the rip and let it cure..
This would create a barrier between the gel so it stops oozing out..
You can then apply your tinted repair silicone to the tear and close it
up without the gel oozing out..
Good luck on this and hope you let us know if you get her fixed..
You have done such great work on her this far im sure you will
figure out a way to make the gel stop oozing out so you can repair the rip ..
