does RD 2 part silicone work on other brand dolls?

Post by icando »

Hi:
Does anyone know whether the 2 part silicone purchased from Realdoll can
be used to repair Mypartydoll?

Thanks
icando

Thank ruby

But I need to have some additional silicone to feel some missing silicone in the doll vagina.
Silproxy is just adhesive, not silicone.

Thanks

Freshly poured platinum silicone won't
adhere to much earlier poured silicone...I wish it did! Don/R13

Tin cure silicone will cure on platinum silicone, but not the other way around. Platinum does cure when put on platinum, but as Don says it doesn't really adhere and will peel away.Tin bonds very well to tin, so it may be an option on platinum, although I've never thried it. Alternatively the RTV style silicone adhesive does bond to plat silicone and can be used to fill gaps. It can also be coloured with makeup powder very easily and can be thinned to flow better and become softer when cured. Thinning can be done using naptha, dilimonene or artist grade white spirit, which is what I use. This would work, especially in the vagina area.

Hello Mechwizard
Thanks for your suggestion. Just not sure what does "thinning" mean? And can silpoxy work as well?
Thanks

The tin based 2 part silicone bonds to the RD2 platinum doll that I have.
Repairs to fill in voids have held for over 1 year.
