Which worries me. And is why if I am going to eventually go, I am going to go big.DarkOne wrote:Silicone. Because nobody makes a TPE doll with a decent skeleton, they all seem to be using the same 'wire neck, wrist and ankles' design.

Love my silicone Doll's feel, looks and durability.
Never ever will I even consider TPE again.
And it blows my mind that 100 cm TPE dolls cost more then 100 cm from DS, even used TPE? What's with that weirdness?

Agree with you,I never have a TPE doll. TPE smells, that sucks!LoneRanger wrote:I want my dolls to last a long, long time. Don't want issues with melting in hot weather and changing colors because I washed them (got 2 TPE - hate TPE with a passion now).

Yes, there is a certain nostalgia in that smell for me, after laying in their unopened storage box, when opened I am reminded of my summer job at 15 as a yard-boy for a small Fuel Oil Company. Turn that corner and get hit with that combined smell of gasoline, diesel and fuel oil all at once. Took some time to get use to that smell.

Me personally though, I am always going to have to go silicone or plush as I am allergic to TPE.

Re: Silicone or TPE? What do you prefer?
Silicone is durable resistant to stains and is non porous. It is far more hygienic and can be sterilized.
The new silicones are very soft . I am curious about tpe , but for the money I think silicone has more going for it .
Re: Silicone or TPE? What do you prefer?
The softness of TPE varies with different vendors , and even if you buy form same vendor they change the MIX without notice.
So statement that a specific vendor is better than another does not mean so much to other people in most cases.
