So I just ordered a 100cm doll through RLSD. I was just wondering if anyone in the U.S.A. has encountered problems importing 100cm dolls before? Legally? Customs wise? Other issues?

I just want to make sure everything is cool. Do I have anything to worry about?

Not me. I have a 100 cm Jadyn doll. Got her with no problems.

The only problems I've heard about in the US Are the small dolls that some customs'officials' seem to think are child like! They generally have small breasts and a young looking face. If your doll is Riley or similar there shouldn't be any problem as she definitely doesn't look under age!

The first time no issues at all but the second time, after a long and horrifying encounter, which you can read about in my post Missing my girlfriend. later in the post. The second order to replace my first doll who ended up, long story short, being destroyed by Fedex, ran into customs issues and delayed the delivery. I did receive her ok though. I think, but not positive, you can choose who ships your doll to you of the shippers RLSD uses. Though it seems to be a crap shoot between the three carriers, I will never use Fedex again.

These carriers like FedEx, TNT, DHL to name a few don't just move dolls and they don't care what's in the box! If it's not packed properly, it's not their fault right? I had delivery of my DS mini by a carrier who was obviously a local delivery man in a rented van and he stood there with the box standing on end! The poor doll was on its head and so much damage......(a veery long story). However, the problem could be made worse by customs opening the box and not repacking properly. That's why it's best to go through a local vendor like Jeff at BCD who deal with all those issues.
