My Phicens Have No Dresses!!

MR. LoneRanger sir. I hope you are having a good weekend.

I would like to pick your brain. I want to make several items for my Phicen. Would I just take the real life full size measurements and divide by 6 to get to 1/6th scale size?

I got the measurements for uneven parallel bars off of Wikipedia, divided by 6 and started cutting and gluing. It just looks kind of off. Maybe because there are no guide wires to hold it in place. Here are 2 work in progress pics.

Just seems to wide, the low bar looks to high. and the distance from high bar to low bar looks to far.

But I may be just overly critical of my own work. Or it may be that Nynaeve is not in a leotard.

In theory, yes, sixth scale is one sixth in size to the real thing! Phicens are somewhere around 28cm or just under a foot which would make them between five feet six inches and six feet when scaled up! However, some things do look strange when scaled down. I think uneven bars are supposed to be about one and a half inches in diameter in full size which would make them about a quarter of an inch when scaled down. This may not look right to the eye so perhaps some experimentation is required. I tried a ‘pole dance’ gif with one of mine and the ‘pole’ was probably a lot thicker than it would be in real life when scaled up but it looked better for her size!

Yes they are suppose to be 1/6 scale based on 6 foot tall as the Metric. They adjust downward with the Phicens as most women (except the 2 I have in a cage in my play room, as if) are not 6 feet tall!

So I see someone on FaceBook selling a used head. A YM and older one. He said he can't find a body to match and it's been in the box since 2018. Would I give him 20 bucks.

I figured 20 bucks, worse case another spare head to put on a pike.. Vampires do that some times!

I got her and she had some weird hard plastic plug that did not fit on a Phicen. I used a standard plug and on a S32A and so bad.. Not only did the head look to small..It sat on the post so almost no neck showed.

Never trow anything away. I had this plug that was useless, to long and actually protruded from a head when inserted. Well I'l be damned, it was the exact plug for this head. I put her on the slightly smaller. slimmer S34A and sent him a photo. He has accused me of Photo shopping the picture because that can't be the head he sold me!



So if you say you can't aford a Phicen..

Man! That's a gorgeous pair of elves Lone! I bet they can whip that property into shape!

I have that YM head also and she sits in a box. It is small and the color is a little off. I haven't decided if I like her enough to buy her a body. The factory photos on a black background are very deceiving.

I think the next size up tubing would look better. I also think maybe the square wooden uprights might be throwing off the look. Couldn't think of a way to connect dowels together without looking clunky.

Just picked up 4 lockers, so I could slap a locker room together. Soon as I get my new front sun room inspected I am gonna have another 160 square feet of storage area.

Given the choice it's why I bought the head in the first place. Not enough elves (light) or Eldar (dark) as there is anyway!


Working on one of my favorite stories at the moment. It has been raining almost non stop in the last 2 weeks so Fern Valley is closed due to weather. But while I can still manage to do this shit I have always wanted to do..

I have searched a long time to find a decent base set to create my version of Princess Dejah Thoris, a Hand Maiden and her Body Guard.
