Got the eyes mounted in the WM skull, now an working on the control linkage
This is a wonderful start! I'm glad we've sparked your interest in giving this a go. Show us more as you progress, and a video of the final result will be inspiring. You can even patent your work and start making some business. Remember to try using the quietest servos you can find.

I think BLDC with sine wave generator controller will be the most quiet, because for such low torques you don't need gearbox.

Perhaps someone who has it can post of video of it in motion and we can be the judge of the noise factor. Always good idea to do preliminary tests before jumping to the construction.

With microstepping it's as smooth as precisely you can generate sine wave voltage across each step.
However I don't think BigBurrito will change his setup at this moment, there are things with higher priority.

Yeah, they seem quiet enough. BigBurrito, if you are reading this you might want to consider using these servos. Might as well use the right ones from the start.

Looks like great progress, but are you trying to operate the jaws as well as the eyes? You seem to have a lot of gadgets in the lower half of the head. Are you sure there will be room for the mouth sleeve (which I think I do see might be impeded somewhat)?

Sorry for the blurry pic, also i have nothing in the way of the sleeve, it slips in as usual, but had to make a hole in back of the eye socket in the TPE, but doesn't affect the face

Maybe make some videos of how it goes now? Do you have some proof of concept at this moment already?

It's going to take some time. I think he wants the eyelids to blink too, which is a separate action from the eyeball movements, requiring more servos (if there is room in there).

With the 3 servos in the head already, getting crowded in there, not a lot of space in the skull. May relocate the servos in the body, but that would make it more difficult to swap heads, i have 4 heads, and having some kind of servo rod quick connect may help, but getting way a head here (pun intended LOL) just stay with the one head i'm working on now

they make really tiny servos. If you keep your linkages short, then the force required won't exceed the small servos. If you're short on space, try an Arduino mini.
We are truly in an age of doll expansion. Sure it's the wild west, with each manufacturer trying to out do one another and society still poo-pooing dolls, but eventually, the age will mature, order will be found and one day we can bring out ladies anywhere.

As long as the weather is warm, outside ridin, partying, not been on the head build much, but cold weather around the corner, will be inside saving my sanity on this project. Also, will post a vid as soon as i get it functioning to my satisfaction

Still gotta fine tune the linkage, then will start the programming. The 2 servos on the back of the oral tube are for eyes up and down, the one on the left is side to side, and of course, the one on top is for the jaw. The speaker will be installed behind that. Will post a vid when i get the servo macro programmed

Totally awesome! What is the noise level like?
